Background

Jeffree Fauntleroy Sr. was born in Washington, D.C.. He earned a high school diploma from Atlantic City High School. He earned a graduate degree from the Morehouse School of Religion at the Interdenominational Theological Center, a certificate from Princeton Theological Seminary, and a Ph.D. from the Howard University School of Divinity. His career experience includes working in community development and as a consultant. He has previously served in law enforcement, worked as a federal investigator, and served as a pastor. Fauntleroy has been affiliated with the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity.[1][2]

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Civil, ability to find common ground for the common good. Able to accomplish goals with bipartisan support.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Knowledge of the needs of the people located in their district, Passionate about meeting the needs and solving the problems. Ability to form teams that can solve the problems and meet the needs.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

Not necessarily but should have knowledge of the Institution of Government and how it rules.

What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Oversight of Artificial Intelligence, fighting against Environmental Injustice, affordable education safe communities, economic stability in poor and marginalized communities.

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

It should be 4 years for continuity.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

Term limits are necessary.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

At times if your district is able to receive the tools necessary to be succesful.

Meeting NeedsSolving ProblemsBuilding Partnerships within our District in order to maximize the tools necessary to enhance District 13.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Civility in Washington, Economic Development, Public Health, Quality Education Access, Experts in Science, Medicine and Health within the CDC. Safe Cities through Community style Policing instead of Military involvement

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Civility. The ability to negotiate with people from different parties in order to make sure our District has the tools necessary to provide excellent service and needs to its citizens.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

To make sure they are working for the District they represent along with working to have a safe and economically strong nation. Making sure that our Health care system is sound and staffed with professionals and all walks of life have access. The ability to develop partnerships in communities to assist its residents out of poverty.

What legacy would you like to leave?

That I was able to put together lasting partnerships within District 13 that taught citizens how to obtain a 750+ credit score and save money, build businesses and home ownership.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My first job was a busboy at a restaurant in the summer. I worked every summer doing high school.

What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

Healthcare, the ability to effectively negotiate wars in order to have a safer nation. Economic stability in our Cities. An educated population with access to education and education alternatives such as trade skills and technical skilss.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

Yes
