In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
As an educator and product of public schools, I believe in the power of quality education and the need to fund it properly. Education is the foundation of a successful and powerful community and we need to re-invest in our future and communities. It’s time to stop feeding the millionaires, while starving our community.
Building an educated workforce will be an economic boon for the state of Ohio. When you invest in people, the community thrives.
Moving back to Ohio to take care of my mother, I chose to live in this community because I saw it as a thriving neighborhood to lay roots and to live.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I believe every student in Ohio deserves a high-quality education, regardless of their zip code. With over 20 years in education and athletics, I’ve seen what works—and what needs to change. I will fight for fair school funding, expand career and technical pathways, and support educators with the resources and respect they deserve. Our schools must prepare students for both college and careers. I’m not a career politician—I’m a problem-solver committed to putting students, families, and communities first.I believe strong unions are essential to protecting workers, strengthening the middle class, and building a fair economy. I will stand up for the right of workers to organize, bargain collectively, and earn fair wages with safe working conditions. Unions have built pathways to good-paying jobs and economic stability for countless Ohio families. I will oppose efforts to weaken collective bargaining and support policies that empower workers, not special interests. When workers succeed, our communities and our state succeed. The rising cost of living is putting real pressure on Ohio families. Too many people are working full-time and still struggling to afford housing, childcare, healthcare, and basic needs. I believe in fighting for livable wages that reflect today’s economy—because if you work hard, you should be able to live with dignity. We must also address rising costs by expanding affordable housing, supporting childcare access, and lowering healthcare burdens. By investing in workforce development and supporting small businesses, we can create pathways to good-paying jobs and stronger communities. When workers succeed, Ohio succeeds.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am personally passionate about fully funding education and making sure Ohio can live up to its status of wanting to be the Business Capital of the World
