In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Too many of my loved ones are struggling under the current system. I see it in communities across Michigan. Choosing between medical care and making a rent payment shouldn't be the reality for so many, and yet, here we are. We can change it, and I intend to be part of that solution.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I support the MiCare legislation. Ensuring that everyone in Michigan can get the medical care they need will not only make Michigan healthier, but it will take that burden off our local and small businesses.Legislators in both parties have been prioritizing corporate interests and profits over the good of the people. They invest in data centers, which the people of Michigan don't want. They bow down to DTE, which the people of Michigan don't want. They are taking Michigan tax dollars and using that money to help fund overseas conflicts instead of using it to lift up Michigan's citizens. It's disgraceful, and we are done allowing Michigan's leaders to use us to line their own pockets instead of serving us like they're supposed to do.It's people over profits. Every time. The first thing I ask myself when I see a piece of legislation is, "How does this help those of us who are struggling?"
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Healthcare. Money out of politics. Increasing wages and benefits. Lifting up those who are struggling the most.
What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
Planned Parenthood
