Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
Dear Friends,
My name is Jason Moon, and I am running for Georgia Labor Commissioner because I care genuinely about the people of our state and the opportunities available to them. I grew up believing in the value of hard work! As a young man, I worked as a union dock worker before building a career in the private sector in
Management, and as a Corporate Trusted
Sales Executive Managing Seven Million
Dollars per year, and teams, balancing
9,000 companies. Today, I serve as a
Professional Service Representative
with the United States Small Business
Administration, helping entrepreneurs,
communities, and organizations navigate
the challenges of growing businesses,
creating jobs, and economic uncertainty.
I travel when federally deployed and I issue treasury loans to citizens after natural storms to help everyone!
I also had the honor serving 26 years as a Political Aide to my cousin, the Honorable U.S. Senator Max Cleland, a Vietnam War hero who taught me the importance of public service and always putting people before political business. I hold a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in
Political Science and Justice Studies from Georgia Southern University and a Master of Public Administration, (M.P.A.) at the University of Georgia.
I love this country, believe strongly
in family, and want every Georgian to
have access to opportunity, fair wages,
and meaningful work. I believe kindness
and talent is a winning combination!
Working Together is Success! Jason Moon, MPA 2026
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
#1) First, we must Protect and
Strengthen Georgia’s Family Farms. I
have spoken with families whose farms
date back to the 1800s. Rising costs,
labor uncertainty, and development
pressure are forcing many to sell their
land. If we lose family farms, we lose a
key part of Georgia’s identity and culture.
I will work to support policies and loan
programs seeking to provide $100,000
(per collateralized acre) maximum three,
that help owners of these farms to keep,
preserve, and invest in farming honoring
all future working generations.#2) Second, I want to make it easier
Georgians—especially in rural
areas—to find good jobs. Instead of
spending millions building a single
GDOL Job Center, supporting 3,000
workers, I propose placing Georgia
Department of Labor “Job Center
Computers” and Desks at approximately
160 rural libraries across our state. With
over 400 libraries already serving 10
million people, we can expand job access
quickly & affordably to 300,000 Middle
Class Workers sidelined who have been
marginalized, awaiting prosperity. This
action easily saves taxpayers “millions” as
$480,000 easily purchases 160 computers.
My idea has military, academic, and previous Lt. Governor's vote of confidence! Suggesting all farmers would support this 100%#3) Third, I believe workers should
share in the success story they help
create. In my private-sector experience,
at the world’s third largest transportation
company, I implemented programs
reinvesting thousands of dollars with
all employees during Christmas.
Appropriately, reinvesting wealth via
productivity bonuses is an excellent award
prioritizing employees while helping
all companies grow. I will encourage
both leaders and C.E.O.’s to incentivize
programs that enable workers to earn
extra cash when efforts help businesses
succeed as sales quotas are achieved and
experienced! This plan worked well with
me in corporate sales and all workers
loved the financial awards! Entrepreneurs & Employees Win Together Jason Moon
