Jason Griffith is a dedicated and passionate individual running for State Representative for Lexington Kentucky District 77. He has been an employed with Toyota Motor Manufacturing of Kentucky for 21 years. He has been a dedicated employee with phenomenal  work ethics.  With a strong belief in the importance of strong families, Jason has actively volunteered with the Police Activity League (PAL), mentoring children and providing them with the guidance they need to succeed.  Jason's commitment to promoting the well-being of families is exemplified by his involvement in House Bill 528, where he played a crucial role in its successful passage. This bill, advocating for shared parenting, aims to provide equal rights and opportunities for both parents in custody cases.  Additionally, Jason served as the chairman of The National Parents Organization chapter for Kentucky, where he expertly navigated complex custody issues and served as a consultant for the community. His dedication to the community was further demonstrated through his organization of professional development events that aimed to empower and educate individuals.  With a genuine desire to champion families and the community, Jason Griffith is fully committed to serving the residents of District 77. With his extensive experience and unwavering passion, he is ready to make a positive and lasting impact on the lives of those he represents.

I will prioritizes open communication, active listening, and fostering a sense of unity and love within families. With a background in community development and a commitment to fostering connections, I'm consistently focused on creating environments where individuals can thrive and grow together. What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I'm passionate about the family unit because it starts in the home. The best way to support a child is to make sure that the child is coming up in a supportive home. The best wat to support a home is to make sure that the home exists in a strong supportive community. The best way to support that community is making sure that the community has a strong anchor of institutions and no community is left behind.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

Dwayne Johnson. The Rock has a great work ethic with confidence to go with it.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I've worked in an automotive factory for 21 years, which made me have a great work ethic that challenges me to lead by an example. I want people to see me as just a normal everyday person that shares the same challenges that we have.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Honesty, Passion, Communication, and Work Ethic..

What legacy would you like to leave?

Jason Griffith has done it all and he left an legacy for the next generation to build on.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The Gulf War at the age 12.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

My parents janitorial business and I was there from the age 13 till I was 16.

What is your favorite book? Why?

Ulysses Grant. I love his passion and I'm a Civil War junkie.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Batman

Teddy Pendergrass "TKO"

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

How that in the family court, you can take time away from a loving parent just so you can make money for the state and willing to destroy the family in the mist of it.

What do you believe is the ideal relationship between the governor and state legislature?

Putting democracy first always wins for the people of Kentucky.

What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?

We need to support more businesses and entrepreneurs so Kentucky can be a more competitive state. Removing barriers that keeps Kentucky from becoming a more thriving and competitive state.

Do you believe that it’s beneficial for state legislators to have previous experience in government or politics?

No, because it's like any other job...you'll learn as you go.

Do you believe it’s beneficial to build relationships with other legislators? Please explain your answer.

Yes, because relationships opens up doors for more opportunities. Relationships build trust over time and gets bills passed that benefits your constituents.

Senator Robert Smalls

Are you interested in running for a different political office (for example, the U.S. Congress or governor) in the future?

We will see what happens.

I love them stories on how the Shared Parenting Law we helped get passed help save kids and their families.

What is the first bill you would introduce if elected?

Child Support reform so we can make it fair for everyone. Everyone wins when things are fair especially the children. I'm a champion for a healthy family structure.

Family and Children, Commission on Race and Opportunity, and Economic Development and Workforce Investment.
