Dawkins' campaign website highlighted the following issues:[9]

Jobs

Excerpt: "I intend to advocate for additional tax credits for all new development in the district, create plans for significant commercial investment, and create clearer pathways to resources for entrepreneurs who want to do business in the district."

Seniors

Excerpt: "I propose that our seniors be given the opportunity and supportive services to ‘age in place’ – living in their own homes and neighborhoods with special home improvements or with the help of a relative or designated caregiver. I plan to advocate for the direction of state grants and programs that support these improvements and offer stipends for caregivers."

Safe Streets

Excerpt: "My plan for addressing this critical issue is to advocate for focused funding for counselors and school aides, and examining training and qualifications for school safety police, so that school staff are prepared with better conflict resolution skills in order to mitigate situations that disrupt students learning. Outside of school, I propose working with community organizations and nonprofits to access and leverage state-level resources to create structured activities for teens."

Education

Excerpt: "My plan for improving education in my District includes maximizing federal funding for early childhood education programs, advocating for an schools funding formula that adequately serves the School District of Philadelphia in a sustainable way, and ensuring that all our public schools, including charters, are held to equal and fair standards of performance, oversight and accountability."
