In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am Jacqualyn "Jackee" Meadow, better known as Coach Meadow. I stepped off the sidelines and into the political arena to champion your voice, strengthen our community, and help build a better future for House District 56.
I am a lifelong educator, sports coach, leadership consultant, and community advocate who believes public service is about solving problems and improving people's lives. My parents moved to the Grand Strand 30 years ago, and I've witnessed our community's growth as well as the challenges of rising costs, traffic, responsible development, public safety, and education.
Raised by two educators, I learned the values of integrity, accountability, hard work, and service. As a coach, I learned that great leadership means listening, building trust, and bringing people together to achieve common goals. Those same principles guide my campaign.
I'm running because families care less about political parties and more about paying their bills, protecting their neighborhoods, ensuring quality schools, and creating opportunities for their children. Those are the priorities I will fight for in Columbia.
I will lead with compassion through action, work across differences to deliver practical solutions, and focus on strengthening public education, supporting small businesses, investing wisely in infrastructure, protecting taxpayers, improving flood mitigation, and preserving the quality of life that makes Horry County a great place to live, work, and raise a family.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
