In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Jacob Weinberg is a successful businessman and veteran. He was commissioned into the US Army after the September 11th terrorist attacks and served in the 82nd Airborne Division as a Ranger-qualified, expert infantryman, and combat veteran of the Iraq War. Jacob

built a career as a CPA, bringing accountability and oversight to businesses. He’s been serving in the National Guard for 17 years and holds the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Running to bring accountability to Arizona, he’ll work with local law enforcement and first responders to protect communities and safeguard taxpayer dollars so the budget prioritizes Arizonans. Throughout my career, I have focused on service, problem-solving, and helping people succeed. My

experiences in the military, the private sector, and in veteran advocacy have shown me the challenges facing Arizona families, from rising costs to ensuring we have water for decades to come, to access to quality healthcare and ensuring veterans receive the support they have earned. I want to dedicate my time at the legislature to serving my community, protecting Arizonans, and cutting out fraud, waste, and abuse from the state budget so taxpayer dollars are used properly. I am not a politician. I’m a U.S. Army combat veteran and a small business owner who has spent more than two decades leading teams and serving others. I was an auditor for 15 years and am now the CFO of an Arizona technology solutions company. I understand the importance of fiscal responsity.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I will work for the people of LD 13 to find the best solutions for all my constituents.Arizona's water future will require hard choices. Our current legislation's inaction has put us in a critical situation where our future in the state is in question. We need a legislator who's ready to act now to help people instead of one who will continue to allow our assets to be plundered by outsiders. Our legislators need to return their focus on helping people instead of giving subsidies and tax breaks to billionaires who just want to plunder our resources. We need to hold our elected leaders accountable when they make deals which give the electricity the taxpayers have paid away for free while also providing very generous taxbreaks to those who are being gifted our resources.
