In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a Manchester Missouri resident, mom of three boys and wife to Todd. I have been an attorney for over 20 years, practicing primarily in employment law.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I am a big supporter of public schools. I feel Missouri can do much better funding our schools and supporting our teachers and students. Public funds need to go to public schools, not private schools. Our teachers deserve better pay.I believe that the current economic climate is hurting Missourians. Wages are stagnant, while everything, from groceries to healthcare, is unaffordable for many. I have supported working Missourians my entire career and continue to support them in the legislature.Missourians voted clearly in 2024 to legalize abortion in this state. The people spoke, and I will continue to support their positions. The continued efforts of the Republican party in this state to ban abortion despite the will of the people must be stopped. I believe all people deserve to make decisions concerning their healthcare without the government getting involved.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Public schools.

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
A lifelong resident of Missouri, I currently live in Manchester with my husband Todd and three sons. I am a practicing attorney and a small business owner. After growing up in Steelville, Missouri, I attended Missouri State University and later attended the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Law.
I am a strong advocate for education, women's reproductive rights, and common sense gun legislation.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
I am a strong advocate for education, women's reproductive rights, and common sense gun legislation. My children currently attend public schools, so I know firsthand the difficulties public schools are facing in Missouri, including low teacher pay. I am a strong advocate for public education, and I want to strengthen the public school system in Missouri, not weaken it.As a woman, reproductive rights are very important to me, and I will work hard to make sure that Missouri women have control over their own reproductive health. Missourians have had enough of the government inserting itself into the private decisions between a woman, her family, and her doctor. Further, I am a proponent of every Missouri having access to affordable healthcare.Growing up in rural Missouri, I understand that responsible gun ownership is a cornerstone of our country and state. But at the same time, I know that common-sense gun laws are needed to keep guns out of the hands of dangerous people, and to keep guns out of schools so our children are safe.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Public education, healthcare, including reproductive healthcare, and safety, including gun safety and violence.
What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?
I believe compassion, hard work, and great listening skills are critical for elected officials. Elected officials need to genuinely care about their constituents, and listen to what their concerns are. After learning of the concerns, they need to work hard to find solutions to problems.
What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?
Making the time and effort to listen to the concerns and issues the citizens have. Elected officials are there to pass legislation that fixes problems and concerns.
What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?
I remember the Space Shuttle Challenger explosion. I was in kindergarten at the time. We were supposed to watch it on TV during class.
What was your very first job? How long did you have it?
Besides babysitting, my first job was waiting tables at a lodge in my hometown of Steelville, Missouri. I worked there for 3 summers during high school.
