Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is Jacki Marsh. I was the Mayor of Loveland for 8 years, 4 consecutive terms. I am a mother, grandmother, jewelry designer, small business owner. I have been a preschool teacher, worked for the Department of Social Services, a Bookkeeper, Purchasing Director, Business Owner, and much more. When I was young, I was competitive athlete in Cross-Country, Track & Field, Soccer, Racquetball. I had the honor and privilege of winning the world's first women's 6 mile race in 1972, called the Crazy Legs Mini-Marathon. I have been politically active in this community over the last 12 years, learning the ways in which I can help make Loveland a better place to live, work, and play. Now, I'm looking forward to helping to make state-level change for House District 51.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I am focused on affordable housing for all levels of income, for both homeowners and renters. A strong district is one where every generation has a place to belong that they can afford.Without affordable and equitable access to healthcare, housing, clean air & water, transportation and without safe communities, choice, dignity, independence, people cannot have a good quality of life. I will advocate for the best outcomes for individuals & communities.Affordable, equitable healthcare means ensuring that families, whether in rural communities, small towns, or growing urban centers can see a doctor, fill a prescription, or access mental health services without facing financial hardships. In my own life experience, having a pre-existing condition since 30, I understand of how stressful life can be when you can't afford healthcare. I will advocate for smart policy solutions that lower out-of-pocket costs, expand provider networks, and increase transparency.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Housing, Quality of LIfe, Transportation, Healthcare, Education, Transparency in Government and generally lifting up those disadvantaged.
