J.D. Kumar earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Maryland in 1993, a bachelor's degree from the National Autonomous University of Mexico in 1993, and a graduate degree from the London School of Economics and Political Science in 2002. His career experience includes working as a venture capitalist.[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I’m J.D. Kumar, originally from progressive New Delhi, India and progressive Queens, NYC USA. I have lived in progressive Montgomery County, Maryland, for over four decades and in our oldest democracy U.S.A. for almost five decades since early in my elementary school days.

I am a graduate of International Business Finance & Marketing. Spanish Languages & Literature college dual degrees with Mexican History & Political Science studies from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM).

I self taught myself Telecoms Infrastructure and Technology. I built organically a Global Telecoms company based here in our U.S.A. I have pioneered graduate M-Tech studies.

I'm also a PhD founding graduate of Multi-Relational Applied and Theoretical Linguistics. I am a United Nations (U.N.) Global Compact consultant.

I'm not an elitist. I detest this. I have been working since the age of 10, all types of work, labor, retail, etc.

My saying, "Can we be elitist without being elitist?" Let's achieve to our full potential, not be arrogant or exclusive when successful, but, extend help and access to as many as possible.

As your Congressional Representative, I will do the work on your behalf honestly, diligently with integrity. I serve at the pleasure of our constituents. My role is to inform and advise based on my own research, experiences, and knowledge. We reach a consensus solution, a conclusion,, then, betterment for all of us. Thank you.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Checks & Balances. Protect our Democracy. No Authoritarianism. No Tyrants.

“Majority Rules, Minority Rights” expresses a core principle in democratic governance that decisions should reflect the will of the majority, but that the rights and freedoms of minority groups must be protected to prevent oppression.

Tyrants are not limited to One Party. There are Brash Fools. Ignorant Limiteds. Arrogant Elitists. Clever Facades.

No Authoritarianism at any level of Government. Local. State. Federal. Please no ignorance on these facts.

Our USA America should retain our various forms of diversity. No one group or individual should dominate another. Government should have a relevant, influential and effective role to maximize for our citizenry.Legal System. Fundamentally and completely change our legal and court procedure systems, address the systemic failures. Graduate junior cost effective, flat small fee lawyers from college for most of the basic legal work and representation in courts.

Implement my Zero Confinement Policy Concept (ZCPC) over the next many years and decades. Issue pardons to non criminals. They do restitution. We certify they are safe to return to society and ensure they will be productive.

Eliminate one judge, limited, hostile courtrooms. Implement a millions participating mandatory requirement community citizen highly vetted civil rights and constitution protecting integrity reform courts with multiple society experts and qualified judges for supervision.Affordability and Cost of Living issues. I have proposed The Planetary $5 Trillion Dollar Plan (TPST) for our nation and beyond and a $250 Billion Dollar U.S. Congress. House of Representatives. Maryland District 8 (USCHR MD8) Jobs Creation and Economic Investments Plan.

As we enter the AI period where you can have a one or no person company with a $Trillions of Dollars trajectory, we must declare "Shelter and other necessities as a Basic Right."

We should ask “Why does a person do what they do? Why do people, groups do what they do? Why do organizations, companies do what they do? Why do nations do what they do, so on and etc.” When we answer this honestly, factually, we can then conclude with smart, productive results.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Commensurate Full Employment. Prevent the Welfare Spiral. If you need a job, call me, my staff. We are with you, amongst you, for you and will make best efforts to be available for you.

Declare Shelter, necessities as a Basic Right. No homeless. No evictions laws and do this without transferring the expenses, burden to landlords.

Fund Medicaid, other Safety Net programs by employing same capable recipients

We need to solve the scourge of discrimination. Enough with always protest, this too much chaotic, complacent, divisive and a Superpower privileged society.

We should conclude The Great Reconciliation Project (TGRP, my concept) for African American Black Folk (AFAB), Poor White Peoples (PWP) and Native Indigenous Americans (NIA).

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

My Home Country ancient culture and traditions India, our democracy establishing leaders. Grandparents. Parents. Family members. Many of my former work supervisors. Several awesome teachers.

My Home Nation USA leaders like Presidents TRJ. TWW. FDR. JEC. RWR. GHB. WJC, Emancipation and Civil Rights Presidents and Leaders, etc.

Our tech leaders and humanity geniuses. Our hardworking USA Americans and Immigrants.

I will take time to understand issues, facts at a granular and macro level. I'm not a centrist, a leftist or rightist. I strive to be a Problem Solving Factualist. A Factualista I suppose.

You cannot solve problems if you make ignorant assumptions. I'm promoting U.S.A. America because that is all fifty states and territories and beyond. So, I will find good in all and critique when required.

I also don't provide simple answers when there are so many complexities.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Competence. Multiple subjects knowledge. Hard and Smart work. Honesty. Integrity. Humanitarian Values. Decency. Empathy.

The belief and thinking that "Make Greater Good...Greater Good Again!" This is my concept of G2 and we can only do achieve this if others think the same.

The belief and thinking that "Better than A More Perfect Union, Let's form A More Utopian Society."

Affinity and Respect for people of different backgrounds and belief systems as long as their ideology is not dangerously problematic.

The belief and thinking that we should All thrive, Equality for all society, no second class citizenry and no new regress for already successful and advanced peoples. Thank you.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Policies to protect our Democracy. Checks and Balances in society and at all levels of government. Local. State and Federal.

Policies to protect our Constitutional Rights. Enforce Civil Rights. Fair Housing. Rule of Law.

Policies to promote and achieve responsible and optimal spend of our U.S.A. America National Budget and pay down, reduce our national debt.

Policies that are optimal for our Education budget spend.

Policies that grow the economy, create jobs and provide for commensurate full employment for all.

Policies that result in a very large middle class and close the wealth gap. Policies that also respect generational merit, the genius class and the hard-working class.

Policies that protect labor rights, environment, etc.

Policies that protect Safety Net programs.

Policies that make basics and quality wholistic healthcare available for all.

Policies that fund for public safety, a strong military, national and global defense. Policies that prevent war and conflict.

Policies for U.S.A. HDI, AI and Tech and Global Leadership.

Availability. Be available for your Constituents and their issues and achieve results for them.

What legacy would you like to leave?

We have achieved so many comforts and advancements from when we were nomads. We are now in a planetary exploration period. I emphasize community, national and global unity so we can work together and continue to improve on the Human Development Index (HDI) advancements.

A.I. is now a reality, this is a different wealth gap trajectory, so we must protect basic needs. Amongst other needs, we have to declare Shelter as a Basic Right.

Better than "A More Perfect Union", let's try to form "A More Utopian Society." This sounds so sweet, but, we can achieve this together, believe me.

How? You have to understand all (A to Z) issues at a granular and macro level. You cannot solve problems if you have limited understanding of all our complexities. You do not have to compromise, but, conclude smartly and productively for yourself and the greater good. Make Greater Good…Greater Good Again!” Achieve your full potential also. This is the legacy message. Thank you.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I started work at a very young age (latter part of elementary school) providing publication information to the community. I have also held jobs in labor, retail during my school years. I have worked with both loyalty and tenure in all my jobs.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Integration at a Respect and Belonging level. Second Class Citizenry. I (we) achieved a higher level of acceptance in our U.S.A. society. My type of second class citizenry not like African Americans. We had more access and acceptance, but, after decades of immigration, there are now new Religious, Ethnic and Jealous Disgruntled Hate peoples and groups also. Discrimination is a scourge. We must fight this in all its forms. However, sometimes there are so many other factors. We must always introspect our character, our behaviors. intentions also.

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

As a U.S. House Representative you are involved with policy and decisions that affect not only your local community, but, also your state and our whole nation and beyond. This is a very small group with immense domestic and global responsibilities.

So, you have to be an A to Z subject issues expert at both a granular and macro level.

Another very important characteristic is you must want an all thrive society and no new regress. We are at this moment now as all groups, many countries have advanced in our new century. So, we must proceed with policies that do not cause new divisions, but, promote equality for all.

What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

We emerged as a lone Superpower in the early 1990s with the largest and wealthiest advanced economy. There is too much Superpower economy and wealth complacency.

Our society is in chaos, not disciplined, too fragmented, too much division, too much complacency.

We waste $Billions in our school systems for mediocrity, no discipline, too much all the time protest instead of doing the harder work, all of which later results in achievement gaps and disgruntled jealousy.

There are many reasons for our wealth gap. One reason is the opposite extremes in our immigration between Legal and those of Latin American and Central American IllegalsUndocumenteds (LACAILUS) background, millions who have arrived Illiterate including in their own language.

So, they are limited to Labor and Low Status jobs and when combined with the highly skilled legal immigration and the emergence of a 20th and 21st century global genius class, we have this society animosity, academic achievement and wealth gap.

Social Democrats, Ultra Liberals, others should analyze this properly and not just spread hate narratives against successful, hard-working, high achievement, greater good motivated peoples.

However LACAILUS are here in such large numbers, their multiple, quick next generations are enrolled in some of our best public school systems and are now employed by some of the best USA American companies across many economic sectors that we are already noting a strong, emerging middle class with potential for more socioeconomic upward mobility and domination. Who will this affect, which groups?

International affairs. We should promote a multi-lateral Global (not just a regional) NATO leadership world. We should not frown on new emerging economies, new and potential Superpower countries.

We must have good, productive relationship with new Super Superpower China. We should work with them and other influential countries and lead together. This is much easier than always conflict. This requires decency and integrity including shared generosity from all sides.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

You cannot compromise on some issues. What you can do is intelligently and productively reach compromise. What this means is understand the cause of problems and find solutions to solve. We should not be aggressive with a limited narrative whereby we cannot reach compromise.

For example, we need safety net protections, but, we should protect against the Welfare Spiral which is terrible for mental and physical health, causes isolation and more vulnerability. We cannot be passive with employment. We must proactively get people to work for their sustaining finances.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

I'm a long history of humanity struggles from nomadic, nomadic to our 21st Century achievements, comforts and advancements leader who will remind the public as often as possible regarding this. I'm endorsed by those that respect and believe in this concept.

I'm not an elitist. I detest this. I have been working since the age of 10, all types of work, weather challenging, labor intensive jobs, retail, etc. I was an above average student, excelled to exceptional once I found my talents and abilities.

What was the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember?

Cold War Communism and related domestic and global issues.
