In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm committed to bringing meaningful change and strong representation to The Bronx.

As a mother who proudly purchased her own home and raised her family through perseverance, Irene understands firsthand the daily struggles of working families, seniors on fixed incomes, homeowners, and small business owners in today's economy. Her life experiences are not theoretical; they are deeply lived and inform

As a community advocate and small business professional, I have experienced what our families are facing and I am ready to fight for solutions that work for our neighbors.

Safety starts with prevention, accountability, and a deep respect for the rule of law. A strong community protects its people and its spaces. We will work with our police to ensure they have the proper tools, training, and support needed to keep The Bronx Assembly 82nd District safe. Strong emergency services are essential for public trust and community resilience.

Housing should be affordable and sustainable for the long term, ensuring residents are not forced to choose between shelter and survival. Growth must not come at the cost of displacement or neglect. I support grants for first-time home buyers to empower new generations, and I advocate for no property taxes for our seniors, allowing them to age with dignity and security. Everyone should have the opportunity to own. Tenants, owning is less expensive, then renting when you find the right property! You also create generational wealth.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Restore Affordability Through Common Sense Leadership

Families are struggling with rising taxes, utility bills, insurance costs, and housing expenses. I will fight for common sense legislation that lowers the cost of living, supports homeownership, protects small businesses, and creates opportunities for families to build financial security instead of making it harder to get ahead.Safe Neighborhoods and Strong Communities

Every family deserves to feel safe at home, at school, and on our streets. I support our law enforcement officers, stronger schools, responsible development, and policies that protect our neighborhoods while improving the quality of life for residents, seniors, veterans, and small businesses.Accountability, Integrity and Service

I am your neighbor—not a career politician. I believe government should be transparent, fiscally responsible, and accountable to the people it serves. I will listen, work tirelessly for our community, and put residents before politics to deliver practical solutions that strengthen the 82nd Assembly District.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about creating policies that improve the quality of life for New Yorkers. My priorities include making New York more affordable by lowering the cost of living, expanding housing opportunities and homeownership, supporting small businesses, strengthening public safety, improving education, and ensuring responsible government spending. I also believe in protecting seniors, veterans and taxpayers through common sense legislation that promotes opportunity, accountability, and economic growth while preserving the character of our neighborhoods.
