Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a ninth generation Texan, wife, and mom of four who is compelled by my faith and service to my community to be a proactive voice for my district in Austin. My passion for Texans and the future generation led me to effectively advocate for my children and families in the regular legislative session. I now focus on servicing in an official capacity as State Representative for District 55 in Bell County, prioritizing issues that affect all Texans: border security, education, and lower cost of living.

I received a BA from Baylor, and an MA from Boston University. I speak Spanish and taught English in Mexico. I was a Crisis Pregnancy Center Mentor for 10 years, a member of Central Texas Republican Women, The Vice President for the local Daughters of the Republic of Texas group, and served as PTA Vice President for 2 years.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Increased Border Security: I will increase our border security resources, including adding more law enforcement, to protect our community from human traffickers and drug cartels.Lower Energy Costs: Texas energy producers are the backbone of our economy. I support energy production to lower energy costs and bring down prices at the pump.Lower Property Taxes: I will fight to lower property taxes by reining in the out-of-control home appraisal process which will bring down property taxes once and for all.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

School safety, lowering property taxes, government efficiency and accountability, repealing regulations that hinder the free market, supporting our military, protecting children, restoring power to citizens.
