In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am Henry Emele, a husband, father, small-business owner, and resident of Manchester. I am running for the New Hampshire House of Representatives to serve the people of Ward 7 and bring practical, accountable leadership to Concord. My experience in business has taught me the importance of fiscal responsibility, hard work, and solving problems rather than simply talking about them. I believe public service begins with listening to the people you represent and remaining accessible and accountable to them.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
New Hampshire families should be able to work, raise their families, own homes, and retire here without constantly facing higher costs and taxes. I will support responsible state budgets, oppose unnecessary tax increases, eliminate wasteful spending, and work to ensure government lives within its means. Every tax dollar comes from someone who worked to earn it, and government has a responsibility to spend it carefully.Public safety is one of government’s fundamental responsibilities. I will support our police, firefighters, first responders, and policies that keep neighborhoods safe while respecting constitutional rights and due process. In Ward 7, residents have raised concerns about speeding, property theft, homelessness, and neighborhood quality of life. I want state and local government working together on practical solutions that produce measurable results.I want New Hampshire to remain a place where families and businesses can succeed. That means excellent educational opportunities, parental involvement, fewer unnecessary barriers for small businesses, and policies that attract investment and good-paying jobs. Government should create a fair and predictable environment for opportunity—not attempt to control every economic decision.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am particularly passionate about fiscal responsibility, public safety, economic opportunity, education, housing affordability, individual liberty, and accountable government. I am also interested in reducing unnecessary regulatory barriers that make it harder to build housing, operate small businesses, and create jobs. Above all, I believe government should remain close to the people, protect constitutional rights, and be accountable for how it spends taxpayers’ money.
