In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a retired business owner, husband, grandfather, and 35-year Oregon resident who's had enough of watching our state's potential get squandered by leaders who won't manage.

For 40 years I served the electric utility industry. My focus was simple: measure performance, find what's broken, and offer solutions to fix it. I brought that same approach to my community after retiring in 2020 — and what I found was alarming. Rising costs, declining services, and elected officials more focused on ideology than results.

I'm not running because of party loyalty. I'm running because Oregon deserves competent leadership. Our problems — unaffordable housing, rising utility costs, underfunded schools, public safety failures, homelessness — aren't inevitable. They're the result of poor management and wrong policies. Other states face similar challenges and do better. The difference is leadership willing to be held accountable.

I believe most Oregonians — regardless of party — want the same things: safe communities, affordable living, good schools, and a government that spends their money wisely. That's not radical. That's common sense.

My granddaughter is growing up in this state. I refuse to hand her a future shaped by leaders who mistake good intentions for good results. District 13 deserves a senator who shows up with a plan, measures what matters, and delivers.

I'm ready to fix what's broken.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Stop the Cost-of-Living Crisis

Oregon's largest-ever tax increase raised the cost of everything. Restrictive housing policies drive up rent. I'll stop the tax increases, fix housing policy, and make affordability the standard for every decision.End Failed Oregon Leadership

Forty years of one-party control: taxes up, outcomes down, failed programs keep growing. I'll demand accountability, challenge policies that protect the system over people, and replace excuses with results.Restore Safety, Order, and Common Sense

Crime, addiction, and homelessness are everywhere while laws go unenforced. Schools spend more with worse results. I'll enforce the law, demand real solutions, and refocus schools on educating kids.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I'm passionate about accountability and fiscal responsibility. Every dollar should be measured against results. I care about cost of living because families struggle with decisions that should be simple. Public safety is the foundation. Without safe communities, nothing works. These aren't abstract interests. They come from 40 years of measuring performance and watching Oregon fall behind.
