In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

George Dobbins is a conservative Republican for working people. He is an attorney, husband, and father that is focused on affordability, schools, crime, and bringing our values to Albany.

After law school, George and his wife (high school sweethearts) moved back to their hometown to raise a family. George is running because he wants upstate New York to be a place his daughter would be happy to call home decades from now. Unfortunately, New York state is going in the wrong direction. And it is going in the wrong direction because Democrats have controlled both houses of the legislature and the governor's mansion for too long.

George believes in conservative solutions can solve the problems of working people in upstate. New York's housing, utility, insurance, and grocery costs are off the charts. Crime is a tax on working people - especially preventable crime. Our schools need to prepare our students for successful careers and the jobs of the future. Working people need results.

As an attorney, George has extensive experience in business and real estate law, where is a "deal closer." His knowledge in these fields and ability to bridge gaps will be invaluable representing his future constituents in Albany.

George was raised by a family of small business owners in Lyons, NY. He graduated valedictorian of his Lyons High School class, received his bachelor's degree from George Washington University, and his law degree from Georgetown Law.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Affordability, first and foremost. Working people are not able to afford their utility bills or purchase a home. Taxes keep going higher and higher. And all because of policies put in by NY Democrats. If we want people to stop moving out of upstate, we have to make it affordable to live here.Crime is a tax on working people. We have to roll back bail reform, and fix holes in our criminal code to better protect our most vulnerable citizens.Apprenticeships and the trade training are keys to fulfilling careers. We need to build on existing BOCES programs to start our kids earlier and better tie those students to existing jobs in upstate New York. NY should more fairly distribute its resources and stop pushing "college for all."

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Affordability, crime, trades, jobs, small business, farming, veterans' services, and our constitutional rights as American citizens (including the Second Amendment).
