Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

My name is Shay Perry-Adelmann. I'm a lifelong independent, running as a Republican, to unseat a 9-term, Trump-endorsed, MAGA incumbent in the May 19 primary election. I am inspired by Thomas Massie, a fellow Kentuckian, who has been leading the charge on getting the Epstein files released, calling out the endless wars, higher prices and other broken promises of the current administration, even if it put him in their cross hairs. I decided to run as a Republican in a neighboring district in order to give him the support and also continue to help bring corruption and coverups to light. Unlike those who say one thing and do another, I stand with Thomas Massie and other Republicans who buck the mandates from big money donors and foreign pressures and instead who put America first. I am the most qualified candidate on the KY-02 primary ballot to get to the heart of the real issues that affect Kentuckians day in and day out. I'm a wife, a mom, a dog rescuer and a farmer. As the mother of a Marine and the daughter of a veteran, I care about our military and our veterans who fight to protect our freedoms, not genocidal, political wars that place foreign vendettas over our own interests. I will sponsor legislation that targets self-serving and predatory practices, opens transparency in government dealings by lawmakers, and enacts the harshest penalties for the worst offenders. #ElectShayThisMay so we can get to work truly putting America and Kentucky first. Thank you!

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

JUSTICE FOR VICTIMS! Full investigation, indictment where warranted, and swift public trials for all individuals implicated in the Epstein files and similar cases of child exploitation in Kentucky and across the nation. Immediate removal from public office of anyone credibly accused or under investigation for predatory conduct, pending due process. Harshest penalties under the law for those convicted of participating in, enabling, or covering up child sex trafficking, including the use of blackmail or extortion to compromise public officials and institutions. I am pleased to have the endorsement of Epstein Justice.NO MORE WAR! AMERICA FIRST! The American people cannot sustain an astronomical deficit from endless

foreign wars and overseas military spending. Continued escalation in the Middle East, including Israel-ran

tensions and the war on Gaza with mass civilian casualties, risks putting our sons and daughters in uniform in harm’s way while distracting from crises at home. As the mother of a Marine, I refuse to see American families pay the price for perpetual war. I will fight to end endless war commitments, restore diplomacy, and ensure U.S. foreign policy is guided by American interests, not foreign governments, defense contractors, or powerful lobbying influence that overrides America First priorities.PREPARE FOR WHAT'S NEXT. The current administration has gone off the rails. Many Republicans tell me this is not what they voted for. Yet the billionaire elites, foreign interests, and "tech bros" are delivering exactly what they promised. I'm running for Congress to sound the alarm on these criminal and treasonous acts, fight for the American people, and help steer our nation through the difficult years ahead. I have a proven track record of confronting corruption, elevating voters' concerns, and standing firm in the face of intimidation, threats, and retaliation. I will ensure Kentucky and America have a real seat at the table, with our interests represented over dark money and foreign interests.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about defending constitutional rights, government transparency, and accountability in public institutions. I support free speech, due process, privacy rights, and the public's right to monitor government activity. Anti-corruption reforms, protecting children from exploitation and trafficking, ending police brutality, and holding state agencies accountable are key. I support local farmers, food and energy independence, and policies that strengthen local resilience and individual liberty. Keeping campaign promises made to the American people, including lower gas and grocery costs, avoiding new wars, fair trade and tariffs that protect American workers, responsible Al development and ending genocide are among my top concerns.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a PTA Mom who has always been an advocate for public schools, students and educators. When I moved to Louisville 10 years ago, little did I know that I was about to embark on an undertaking to protect my son's school and others from falling victim to the charter school scam. Over the years, I organized hundreds of stakeholders to speak at board meetings and our efforts were successful in removing a willfully incompetent superintendent as well as board members who enabled her. During that time, I co-founded Dear JCPS, a grassroots advocacy non-profit, to demand accountability and transparency of our district leaders, in 2015. In 2016, when we realized the threat was part of a national effort, I co-founded Save Our Schools Kentucky to educate and inform Kentuckians, as well as lawmakers and local leaders, about the threats that were being posed by outside groups like ALEC and the Koch Brothers, as well as local groups such as SCALA. Our group's mission is to prevent these same predators from undermining and siphoning scarce resources and tax dollars away from our public schools across the state. When my current school board member demonstrated he doesn't have what it takes to fight the MAGA-Republicans who recently began disrupting our school board meetings and turned a blind while district officials kept sweeping problems under the rug, I realized he needed to go. When our non-profit couldn't identify a qualified candidate, I realized it was my responsibility to step up.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Stop fascist ideology from infiltrating Kentucky schools.Protect students, employees and taxpayers from government overreach, including bans on books, bodies and free thought.Stop the "War on JCPS" through authentically addressing the achievement gap, an equitable student assignment plan and "busing."

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

As a JCPS school board member, one of only seven in fact, not every issue that I am passionate about will be within my jurisdiction, but I have a proven track record of bringing the most marginalized voices to the table and working to build consensus, not just compromise, so that progress can continue to be made. During my four-year term, I will lead efforts to engage school board members across the state to embark upon an education reform act comparable to KERA more than 30 years ago. I believe we owe it to the people of Kentucky to revisit funding forumlas, strengthen site-based decision-making councils, ensure student, parent, teacher and staff voices, from districts large and small, wealthy and poor, urban and rural and everywhere in between are reflected in the final result. I also believe strengthening our public schools is vital to not only economic development, career opportunities for graduates, increasing property values and community safety, but building strong communities and developing future civic leaders. Our public schools are in crisis. They didn't get this way overnight, and our problems won't be fixed overnight. That is why I have a four-year plan and a 10-year plan to address the short and longer-term goals of our district and the state of education in Kentucky. This will require honest introspection, a fundamental shift that brings meaningful change, and root cause solutions, which will save not only tax dollars, but educational futures, in the long run.
