Mrvan graduated from Morton High School in 1987. He earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from Ball State University in 1992. Mrvan previously worked as a mortgage broker and pharmaceutical sales representative. He was the township trustee for North Township, Indiana, from 2005 to 2021.[1][2]
