In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I have had a number of work experiences, from growing up in a family-owned small business that has been operating for 100 years, to working in entertainment and publishing as a writer and editor, to even running my own small publishing company; I have met every new venture with grit and an embrace of hard work.

Nowadays, as a Quality Assurance Senior Lab Technician in Connecticut’s dairy industry, I follow one fundamental principle in my day job: protecting people’s health and safety. Every day, I am responsible for ensuring that production lines meet state and federal regulations, including OSHA and HACCP standards. I conduct internal audits, review complex compliance documents, and hold suppliers accountable to make sure the product is safe for consumers. I know that if guidelines are ignored, people’s health could pay the price. I will bring this same critical eye to Hartford. I believe in the power of good government to protect its citizens. I know how to read the fine print, ask the tough questions, and ensure that taxpayer dollars are being used efficiently to fund our public schools, repair our infrastructure, and support local businesses.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Lower Property Taxes. I will fight for the state to increase funding for our towns, including Education Cost Sharing, a major driver of the state’s property tax issue.School Funding. Town school districts need more State funding to meet mandates and student needs. Every child deserves a great education no matter their location.Housing Costs and availability. Housing costs are pushing young adults and seniors out of CT. We must reverse this trend while preserving the character of our towns.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Solving the high cost of electricity issue for the state of Connecticut. The citizens need immediate relief from the expense and a long-term plan that provides affordable electricity and a dependable grid for the state.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

Bolton, Columbia, Coventry, Lebanon, and Tolland Democratic Town Committees, 35th DCSS, UFCW 371 Local, The Connecticut State Building Trades Council, and AFL-CIO
