I am a family law attorney, small business owner, and mother who has raised my family and lived in North Raleigh for 20 years.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Women's reproductive freedoms must be protected.Public education must be funded and teachers must be paid more.Small business owners deserve the support they need to thrive in their local communities.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Women's reproductive rights, education, economic justice, environment
What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?
I am a fighter- I fight for families and children everyday at work and I will bring that same fight to the General Assembly.
Both sitting legislators and candidates for office hear many personal stories from the residents of their district. Is there a story that you’ve heard that you found particularly touching, memorable, or impactful?
I met a 32 year old man knocking doors and asked him what was the most important issue to him this election cycle. He said reproductive rights. I asked why and he told me about his anxiety over his partner's pregnancy and fear that if something went wrong, he would not be able to do anything to help under North Carolina's strict abortion laws.
