Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a former Immigration Attorney, who is focused on immigration reform. I strongly believe that it is time for comprehensive immigration reform legislation. The issue has been put into the forefront by president Donald Trump and something has to be done to address the situation, including a pathway to US Citizenship.

Fighting for our immigrant population in America…Fiscal conservatismChampion for women’s rights, women are the key to our future, and I believe that we must protect women’s rights, including reproductive rights.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Immigration Law

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

My mother. I would love to have been around when Theodore Roosevelt was living. He is a national treasure and I believe the best president this union has ever had.

Is there a book, essay, film, or something else you would recommend to someone who wants to understand your political philosophy?

Anything written by Theodore Roosevelt

Honesty, Strength of Character, Willingness to Fight

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

I have over 30 years of immigration experience to bring to the table..

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Dedication to honor the electorate’s wishes.

What legacy would you like to leave?

I would like to be known as the one who enacted comprehensive immigration reform legislation to preserve our immigrants rights and also to set up a pathway to citizenship. A quick pathway to citizenship.

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

When president Richard Nixon resigned the presidency after Watergate.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I started working by mowing lawns and showing snow for neighbors.

What is your favorite book? Why?

The biography of Steve Jobs, by Walter Isaacson.

If you could be any fictional character, who would you want to be?

Zeus

Time to say goodbye.

What is something that has been a struggle in your life?

Not being elected to public office.. I’ve tried several times to be elected, but I have not been successful.

How many immigrants that have come to Omaha have expressed to me that they love America and they want the best for this country but our fearful right now for being removed and sent back unjustly.

Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?

is extremely necessary.

The Constitution says that all bills for raising revenue must originate in the House. What role would this power play in your priorities if elected?

I think financial responsibility is the number one issue facing America right now.

How should the U.S. House use its investigative powers?

Right now we need to focus on funding our government so it continues to run smoothly before we go into investigative Powers.

What committees interest you?

The Department of homeland security

What are your views on financial transparency and government accountability?

I believe we are on the verge of bankruptcy and we have to address this issue. Immediately.
