In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a third-generation Woodstock resident and fourth-generation UConn graduate running to represent the 35th Senate District. I graduated from UConn in 2022 with degrees in Political Science and Communications. While at UConn, I was elected to the university's Board of Trustees, representing 23,000 undergraduate students, and helped start Husky Market. This student food-insecurity program distributed roughly $1 million in food and gift cards before the university adopted it permanently as Husky Harvest. For the last four legislative sessions, I worked in government affairs. Today, I volunteer on the board of trustees for Woodstock's Roseland Park, and run a small education business. I'm running because our region — Ashford, Chaplin, Coventry, Eastford, Ellington, Hampton, Stafford, Thompson, Tolland, Union, Vernon, Willington, and Woodstock — deserves an independent voice in the majority party who understands how Hartford works and will fight for our fair share.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Real investment in our region: agriculture, rural healthcare, housing, senior services, and small businesses in northeastern Connecticut shouldn't be an afterthought in Hartford.Lower costs for working families and address the affordability crisis squeezing our district. Especially energy costs, property taxes, and supporting locally grown produce.Protecting the next generation from social media and phone addiction by implementing reasonable social media use regulations for minors and supporting youth mental health care.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Affordability and cost of living, social media and big tech regulation, small business support, agriculture, housing access, and educational opportunity.
