Campaign website

Webber's campaign website stated the following:

ENFORCE ELECTION INTEGRITY

American voters need to know that their voices are accurately represented. Let’s hold states accountable for cleaning voter rolls, demand voter ID, ensure that only legal votes are cast by U.S. citizens, and audit vote results to secure our elections.

ENSURE NATIONAL SECURITY

American families need to feel safe in their own communities. We must secure our border, enforce legal immigration, end the drug trade and human trafficking, and remedy national security loopholes in our immigration system to protect Americans.

STRENGTHEN FOREIGN POLICY

America is the leader in international trade, and as such, we must ensure peace through strength, secure the safety of Americans, foster fair and reciprocal international trade, and bring good jobs and manufacturing back to America.

SUPPORT AMERICA'S MILITARY

Our national defense requires a strong military. As international relations evolve, our military must stay ahead of the curve, and innovate to rapidly adapt to emerging military threats. Let’s also meet the needs of the veterans who’ve honorably served.

SUPPORT LAW ENFORCEMENT

We should all want our kids to look up to police as the superheroes who save the day. We should not defund our police, but instead champion positive police and community initiatives, innovate on safety and training, and increase transparency.

PROTECT 2ND AMENDMENT

Despite increasing crime in some cities, our lawmakers continue to impose new restrictions on our 2nd Amendment, while pushing Red Flag laws and magazine bans. Let’s defend our 2nd Amendment, so Americans can protect their families.

REDUCE TAXES & REGULATIONS

As Californians get back to work, let’s ensure we give business owners every opportunity to bounce back quickly. Let’s lower taxes now to incentivize business growth, and increase opportunities for Americans to become gainfully employed.

PROMOTE ECONOMIC FREEDOM

California’s AB5 delegitimized the work of millions of independent contractors. Now, lawmakers threaten to do the same thing federally, further hurting working families. Let’s fully repeal AB5, get Americans back to work, and modernize our supply chain.

SUSTAIN ECONOMIC GROWTH

It’s time for more Americans to become stakeholders in our communities. Let’s improve access to advanced financial education and investment training. Let’s foster entrepreneurship by creating more opportunities for new business financing.

SECURE ENERGY INDEPENDENCE

California’s energy resources afford us the ability to lead America toward energy independence. Let’s implement our most energy-dense forms of power, as we innovate to make energy production safer, cleaner, cheaper, and more reliable.

DEFEND RELIGIOUS FREEDOM

Our 1st Amendment right to freedom of speech, assembly, and religion has been infringed upon. Faith is an integral part of American life. We must stand up to big government overreach, defend religious freedom, and uphold the Constitution.

CHAMPION SCHOOL CHOICE

A quality education is the great equalizer. Parents must retain the right to choose the school that is best suited for their child, including home schooling, and be afforded the transparency to know - and influence - what is taught to their children.

PROTECT MEDICAL FREEDOM

Americans should have information about new medical treatments, in order to make informed health decisions for their family. We must reserve the right to choose what treatments are best for our health, and not be coerced by government mandates.

QUALITY HEALTHCARE OPTIONS

Americans should have access to quality healthcare, to be tailored to their family’s needs, not a bloated single-payer system. Let’s lower prescription drug prices and healthcare premiums, and make health insurance competitive across state lines.

PROTECT NATURAL RESOURCES

American families want to have clean air and water. Preserving the vitality of our natural resources is key to our country’s health. We need to individually make the daily conscious effort to participate in being good stewards of our environment.

END HOMELESS CRISIS

It is not compassionate to abandon fellow Americans to die on our streets. Solving homelessness will involve transparency, mitigating drug abuse, improving mental health treatment, skills training, veteran services, and facilitating home ownership.

REFORM FOSTER CARE SYSTEM

Our foster care system and broken family court system need serious reform. We must work to protect vulnerable children within the system, mitigate exploitation, and create new incentives for upstanding adults to responsibly foster children.

SAFEGUARD SOCIAL SECURITY

Americans need the security of knowing that they’ll be financially stable when they retire. It’s time to gradually transition Social Security contributions to personal retirement accounts so Americans can take charge of their own financial future.[2]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I'm a documentary Film Producer based in Los Angeles, CA. My documentary film work explores topics such as: healthcare, education, criminal justice, human rights, and police-community relations. I've identified solutions to Federal issues that I believe are consequential to America's future. These include addressing: Taxation, Healthcare, Education, Environment, Immigration, Police & Military, Jobs & Economy, Foreign Policy, Defending the Constitution, and combating the proliferation of Socialism.

After more than a decade of community engagement and programming through socially-conscious documentary film work, I am now giving back to the nation that gave me the invaluable opportunity to succeed, by being a catalyst for change and having a seat at the table in public office as I campaign for California's 37th Congressional District.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Make America SafeMake America EducatedMake America Prosperous

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

We need to recognize that a failure to adequately address key Federal issues has a negative rippling effect when it comes to State-level issues, particularly as it pertains to quality of life.

Strong immigration policy is integral to our national sovereignty and security. We need stronger immigration policy to reduce drug trade, and decrease job theft, wage suppression, and displacing American citizens from accessing the already-scarce affordable housing and services that should go to Americans.

A national investment in better, more diversified, and rigorous education is important for securing a future for America to remain an economic powerhouse. We need to promote and enforce school choice at in all school systems, as parents should retain the right and agency to choose what's best for their children.

While education equips the public, we need to ensure that access to business development resources is readily available. We're excited for the progress that has been made with Opportunity Zones in previously underserved communities, and now we need to continue by making more avenues available for community members to become stakeholders in our communities.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Being a politician is a daily exercise in restraint. Not being reactionary in such a way that you discount the story of the life experience of the very people who are looking to place their trust in you.

What qualities do you possess that you believe would make you a successful officeholder?

As a documentary filmmaker, that would be my ability to tell stories and make complicated ideas easy to understand, discuss, and ideate solutions.

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Recognizing the role and application of our U.S. Constitution when creating or voting on legislation.

Legislating based on the needs of the constituents.

Not using their seat to exact political vengeance against opponents.

What legacy would you like to leave?

As a politician, I would like to leave a legacy of empowering communities to civic involvement through education.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I was a broadcast cameraman. In 2002, when my family and I came to the United States, I wanted to be a commercial airline pilot. Then in January 2003, at 15, I was sitting in church, and grew fascinated by how every move the broadcast camera operators made affected the outcome of what came up on the large screens at the front of the church. I saw that I could shape how one views the world through video. Curiously, I asked the video staff if they would teach me how to operate the cameras, and they obliged. The following Sunday, after a training session, they put me on camera, and I was hooked!

We later went on to going to a different church, where they had an even more elaborate video production system, and the camera operators were off-duty camera crew from a local news affiliate. Toward the end of high school, my Art teacher, recommended I check out the new film program at the Maryland Institute College of Art. I later applied to that school, and studied film there for 4 years. Upon graduation from MICA in 2008, I began shooting some two dozen documentaries.

What qualities does the U.S. House of Representatives possess that makes it unique as an institution?

It gives Americans equal representation based on population, and serves as one fo the checks to ensure America does not succumb to mob rule.

Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?

If we've learned anything from the past few election cycles, it's that just because someone is a career politician does not automatically make them better suited for a job of representing constituents as a politician. We've had many public and private sector Americans who have run for and served in political office because they believe their work experience - say in military, legal, or business - makes them uniquely skilled at addressing key issues that affect the lives of their constituents. Such as a farmer running for Congress in a District that is majority farmland or forestry, or a former law enforcement professional running for political office in a city that faces intricate nuances to addressing crime.

What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?

In the face of deepening liberal irresponsibility, America's biggest challenges include remaining a sovereign nation that protects the interests of our American citizens. Over the past century, we've watched over two dozen failed socialist/communist regimes do irreparable damage to societies, and it seems that the American Left just hasn't learned, with some seem determined to repeat the very failures that led to widespread famine, death, and anarchy.

We as Conservatives and Republicans need to drive home the importance of individual rights, individual liberties, and individual responsibility as the three core tenets that guide how we as Republicans approach all policy solutions.

If you are not a current representative, are there certain committees that you would want to be a part of?

Taking into account my platform, I would want to be part of the following committees:

-Armed Services

-Education and Labor

-Homeland Security

-Small Business

-Transportation and Infrastructure

Do you believe that two years is the right term length for representatives?

Yes.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

Power corrupts. Absolute power corrupts absolutely. Absolute power, with no checks as it pertains to term limits places America in danger of being abused by the very lawmakers tasked with Representing the needs of their constituents. I believe that U.S. Congress members should be limited to 12 years. Six 2-year terms for Representatives, and two 6-year terms for Senators. Americans need to have an "out" when it comes to dealing with errant or rogue lawmakers, and as such, I see the need for term limits.

If you are not currently a member of your party’s leadership in the U.S. House of Representatives, would you be interested in joining the leadership? If so, in what role?

Any role that allows for me to lead departments responsible for making policy palatable, for our constituents to more fully understand what is happening with the laws that affect their lives.
