Expand AllWho are you? Tell us about yourself.Rev. Ernie Rivera is a minister, community leader, and lifelong conservative running for U.S. Senate to fight for Florida families. Born in Tallahassee in 1958, he has served communities for nearly 50 years—as an ordained Presbyterian minister, as director of statewide hurricane relief, as co-founder of the Protect Our Children Project, and as a builder of schools, churches, and orphanages across the Americas. Married since 1983 and a grandfather, Ernie holds a Doctor of Ministry from Reformed Theological Seminary, an M.A. in Education from NYU, and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of Puerto Rico. Bilingual and deeply rooted in Florida's diverse communities, he brings a servant's heart rather than a politician's résumé. Ernie believes government should answer to the people, families should be free to thrive, and faith should never be silenced. He is running to bring conviction, integrity, and real service to Washington. Faith. Family. Florida First. Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?Affordability, Sustainbility to make life better and easier for Floridians. Protect Florida families and our God-given freedoms. Ernie will defend the sanctity of life, religious liberty, parental rights, and the Constitution—standing firm for the values that make strong families and strong communities.Restore economic strength and fiscal sanity. Ernie will fight to lower taxes, cut wasteful spending, unleash American energy, and protect the Medicare and Social Security benefits seniors have earned—so working families can keep more of what they earn.Secure our borders and uphold the rule of law. Ernie supports legal immigration, strong border security, and ending sanctuary policies—keeping communities safe while honoring those who come the right way and embrace American values. What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?Protecting children and families, defending the sanctity of life, religious liberty, secure borders and immigration reform, fiscal responsibility, and energy independence. After decades co-founding the Protect Our Children Project and serving communities through ministry and disaster relief, Ernie is especially driven by safeguarding the vulnerable—the unborn, children, and seniors—and ensuring government serves the people rather than the other way around. What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?Truth, Faith and Action Alliance
