These individuals include parents, teachers, and other educators who want to be heard. They have valid concerns, questions, and even solutions that could improve academics statewide. She understands it is important to be in the trenches when making education decisions. You will find her in the hallways, in the classrooms, and at the table inviting others to join.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Supporting Teachers and Creating the Most Optimal Learning environment for Students - Erin's focus is working with legislation to increase funding so every K-3 classrooms can have a paraprofessional (teacher's aid). When she visits classrooms, parents and teacher alike desire to have smaller classroom sizes. Paraprofessionals can help teachers with behavioral problems, increase student learning, and allow teachers to instruct students more increasing academic time.Bring More People to the Table - Strong education decisions are made by listening to the people closest to our students. Parents have a critical voice, and teachers, school leaders, students, and community members bring valuable experience and expertise to the table.Fiscal Responsibility and Classroom Investment - Every education dollar should be used responsibly and with clear purpose. Utah taxpayers deserve transparency and confidence that education funding is reaching students and making a measurable difference.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Erin is passionate about policies that center around student learning and achievement. Early childhood and early learning are at the top of her list. She knows that if we can have children achieve benchmarks by the end of 3rd grade, this will set the student up for success throughout their years.

Adult education is equally important. Some students have circumstances that affect their ability to earn a diploma. She is proud of the attention that adult education receives and continues to advocate for these programs. Everyone deserves an education and it's imperative that we create and implement pathways for all students in Utah.
