In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a lifelong Wyoming resident, born and raised in Cheyenne. I am a volunteer firefighter/EMT and a dedicated public servant. I work full-time for the State of Wyoming as the State Risk Manager. I also volunteer with Cheyenne Frontier Days on the Rodeo Committee and have do so for 14 years.

My life has been built around service coming from a military family. As a firefighter of 24 years, I've answered calls when my neighbors needed help most. I also served for a couple of years as a Department of Defense contract firefighter to support our troops during Operation Iraqi Freedom. My experiences as a firefighter has taught me the importance of teamwork and accountability. It has shaped my commitment to serving others with integrity, courage, and common sense. My various positions in the fire service, currently as a battalion operations captain and command staff, have given me experience in leadership and making sound decisions under pressure.

I understand the importance of hard work, personal responsibility, and living within your means. My budgeting experience from my full-time job will guide me during fiscal conversations and budgetary matters.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I will support, protect, and grow the State's top 3 economic producers, energy, agriculture, and tourism, as well as other businesses that power Wyoming's economy.

Wyoming depends on strong, stable core industries including energy, agriculture, tourism, and mineral production. I support policies that keep these sectors competitive, protect good-paying local jobs, and ensure responsible stewardship of our natural resources. We should reduce unnecessary barriers while encouraging innovation and long-term economic strength. Growth in these sectors support Wyoming in many other areas so Wyoming benefits when these sectors are supported.Strong schools are the foundation of Wyoming’s future. I support empowering parents, respecting teachers, and focusing on academic fundamentals like reading, writing, math, and critical thinking. Local communities—not distant bureaucracies—should have a strong voice in shaping educational priorities that prepare students for careers, trades, and civic life.

One of our children's first opportunities towards their future is in our education system. I want to ensure the teachers are supported to be able to provide the best education for our children. I also want to look into the funding structure to ensure it is the most efficient and beneficial use of taxpayer funds. As a homeowner I appreciate lower property taxes. However, the detrimental impact that lowering property taxes has had and may continue to have on the entities and special districts that rely on property taxes to function demonstrates a lack of forward thinking and understanding future impacts when the property tax reductions were passed. I have witnessed this first hand at my fire department. Essential services are now at risk of being cut due to lack of funding. We need to resolve the property tax issue meaningfully and in a well thought out manner to ensure any domino effect of negative impacts are minimal, if not eliminated.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about supporting law enforcement, fire, and EMS services, as well as our military and military service members.
