Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Income inequality is the single greatest threat to the future of the United States. The affordability crisis and concentration of wealth must be addressed by Congress. If elected, I will pursue reforms to the tax code to eliminate loopholes and impose an "asset origination tax" at fair market value for compensation of any individual in lieu of a regular salary. Once enacted, any award of stock or real property to an individual or entity valued in excess of $400,000 will be subject to taxation. Farmland and assets transferred via inheritance would be exempt from this tax. Further, I would work to create a tax cut for any individual earning less than $72,000 per year or $125,000 for those married filing jointly. Our nation's "for profit" health care system is irreparably broken, inefficient and needlessly cruel. I fully and unequivocally support Medicare for All.
Reproductive care is healthcare and healthcare is a human right. All citizens should have fair, effective and affordable access to universal basic health services. I will seek to expand the Medicare system to cover every citizen residing in the United States via reducing the qualifying age for Medicare access until every man, woman and child is covered. Under this system, for profit insurance and insurance through employers would still be encouraged for those who wish to have it.Our nation's founders envisioned three co-equal branches of government in which Congress held the power of the purse. I will reassert congressional authority over taxes, spending and levying tariffs to guarantee that the will of the people and spending reflects the greater good rather than the whims of the powerful. If elected, I will eliminate tax cuts for the wealthy. Then I intend to restore funding to the Veterans Health Administration, Department of Education and SNAP while reining in wasteful spending on Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
My spending priorities also include support for our allies and defenders of democracy worldwide assuming they respect fundamental, human rights.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Representation for ALL Nebraskans; not just those who support my campaign or corporate interests. I will fight to defend everyone in my district regardless of their race, income, gender, sexual orientation or religious affiliation. I will resist any and all attempts to roll back the rights of women and minorities. I stand against attacks of any kind on the freedom or bodily autonomy.

Campaign websiteMoyer's campaign website stated the following:EconomyOur economy should work for ALL Nebraskans, not just special interest groups. I plan to tackle the affordability crisis on multiple fronts: 1. I will work to raise the minimum wage to $15 an hour and tie it to the rate of inflation so that workers can have a shot at a living wage.2. 'Tax the rich', with a common sense proposal to create an origination tax for any asset or stock received in lieu of salary valued in excess of $250,000.3. Nebraskans deserve to know the social security system we've been paying into will be there for the next generation. That is why I support lifting the cap on social security tax currently limited to only $400,000 of taxable income.HealthcareThanks to the One Big Beautiful Bill, 11.8 million people will lose their health insurance - a catastrophic, result, especially for rural areas.I believe access to healthcare is a human right. We are the only wealthy industrialized nation that doesn't guarantee healthcare for our citizens, forcing people to delay or skip receiving preventative care, instead relying on emergency care in extreme cases. This puts tremendous strain on hospitals and healthcare providers.I am committed to passing Medicare for All.By creating a public option that covers all U.S. citizens, we can dramatically reduce costs and improve health outcomes. Medicare for all incentivizes preventative care, contributing to catching illnesses early and hopefully preventing them all together.FarmingFarmers are facing unprecedented challenges from skyrocketing input costs, consolidation by big Ag monopolies, and a global trade war. Picking, brushing and sorting apples at my grandparent's orchard and later, working on my uncle's ranch, taught me the value of hard work. Family farms are being threatened by tariffs and failed trade policies. Every producer I've spoken to says the same thing, "I voted for Trump but I didn't vote for any of this." Farmers can't make a profit, they are in massive debt, and worse still, big Ag interests have rigged markets making it impossible for independent, family farms to compete. 1. I am committed to passing the remaining articles of the farm bill.2. I support 'Right to Repair' legislation. 3. On Day 1, I plan to reassert congressional authority over tariffs by moving to constrain the President's emergency powers.VeteransOur service members and military families have selflessly served our country. Nothing short of an ironclad commitment to them and their welfare is acceptable to me. In Washington, I will immediately take steps to restore funding cut by the One Big Beautiful Bill and assert Congressional authority over the executive branch to ensure funds are used to care for our men and women in uniform.ImmigrationImmigration in America is broken. It shouldn't take decades and tens of thousands of dollars to navigate.I am committed to passing the Dignity Act. We need to bring that bill to the floor for a vote and get it done. I will block funding for ICE enforcement until the Dignity Act or the bipartisan, 2024 Bipartisan Board Bill has passed.EducationNebraska has one of the highest performing public school systems in the country, because we prioritize our childrens' future and the needs of educators. DOGE cuts to the Department of Education have dismantled the foundation we've built, by removing funding for special education, gap funding for rural districts and teacher training. I support our educators and public education. I will not allow public dollars to be funneled into private schools.2nd AmendmentHaving grown up in rural Nebraska, I recognize the relevance and need for Americans to exercise their 2nd Amendment rights. To ensure this freedom is not abridged in response to another tragedy, I support comprehensive background checks and red flag laws. By keeping guns out of the hands of individuals who are a known threat to public safety, we preserve this right for law abiding citizens and future generations.SecurityNational defense depends upon strong partnerships with our allies. I will seek to strengthen relationships with our allies as well as exercise soft power through restoring funding to the Department of State and USAID. Diplomacy today will prevent the conflicts of tomorrow.EnergyI've worked for the last decade in domestic energy to strengthen our state's grid and lower energy costs for working families. My plan to secure the future of our grid is three-fold1. Make the most of the natural resources overhead and beneath our feet by developing clean energy.2. Support legislation which allows for and encourages distributed generation behind the meter for residential and small business customers.3. Creating incentives to encourage utilities to retire, carbon intensive generation.Equal RepresentationSince launching my campaign, my promise has not changed. I will represent everyone in Nebraska's 1st district, regardless of race, income, faith, gender, or sexual orientation. In practice, I will oppose any and all legislation which seeks to limit the rights of any person.— Eric Moyer's campaign website (April 28, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source.
