Emily Thompson earned a high school diploma from Dover High School. She earned a graduate degree from Wilmington University. Her career experience includes working as a program manager.[1]

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

A lifelong Delawarean, Emily A. Thompson proudly lives on her family farm in Hartly, where she was raised in a multi-generational farming and small business family. She learned the importance of faith, hard work, and personal responsibility — values that guide her today.

For nearly a decade, Emily has served Delaware families in state government, strengthening communities and supporting children. She currently oversees programs that promote the healthy development and well-being of children and families.

A proud alumna of Wilmington University, she earned both her undergraduate and graduate degrees there, as well as her Doctor of Social Science in Prevention Science. Emily is a committed advocate for agriculture and families, and will bring strong, compassionate leadership that listens, collaborates, and delivers results.

Individual rights and limited government - protecting constitutional rights and pushing back against unnecessary government mandates.

Agriculture and rural Delaware - protecting family farms and Delaware’s agricultural heritage,

Education - improving outcomes and making sure Delaware’s education system is preparing children for their future.

Public safety - supporting law enforcement, corrections officers, firefighters, and first responders while holding criminals accountable.

Small businesses and affordability — reducing unnecessary burdens.
