In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

National Master in Chess - founded Chess4Life in 2005 to bring problem solving skills along with other life skills to children. Experienced firsthand the slow but steady erosion of freedom in Washington State. Left there in April 2021 to find a better place to raise his family. Thankful for the community in District 6/South Dakota! As a small business owner who also has multiple years experience in the trades, I am committed to representing District 6, doing what I can to address the challenges the voters are facing.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Experienced the West Coast disastrous policies and will do all he can avoid Washington state coming to South Dakota.Freedom is NOT free - it requires active efforts to protect our freedom. Join me in this effort!Cost of Living. I saw this skyrocket in WA state, paralleling a sales tax that over my time in the state went from just over 5% to now approaching 11%! I saw an income tax added in the first part of 2026 despite it being forbidden by the state constitution. I will do all I can to address these challenges.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I believe government as the servant of the people, by the people, and for the people ought to be transparent and not obfuscate what is happening. Waste should be addressed and reduced instead of thinking that more taxes/more money will solve issues.
