I, Elle NGUYEN is leaving a successful 24-year business career, compelled to Serve the People of Washington State. My entrepreneurship’s ability and hard work have earned the responsibility and leadership into State Legislative position. I can demonstrate that I have the courage and forthrightness to pursue a Truth in Government policy. I believe in the philosophy that The People have a right to know ALL that goes on in state government~ both good and bad. I have the courage to stand on my own two feet; I am my own woman. I am a driven individual who isn't afraid to face a challenge. I am passionate about my work and know how to accomplish what must be done. I would describe myself as an open and honest person who does not believe in misleading other people and tries to be fair in everything I do. I am very communicative, detail-oriented, and versatile. I like to think of myself as a team player. While I don’t mind taking on solo projects, I prefer to work with others. I like to think that I am persistent and persuasive. My most valuable trait is that I am a people-person who enjoys meeting new individuals and learning about their lives. I always find some common ground with everyone. I am a woman of integrity and sound judgment who will work diligently for Party unity and the success of Republican principles. I am active in community affairs, participating in clothing the Homeless, Rotary clubs, and Church activities. A woman of great faith, widowed mom of two children.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Economic RecoveryPublic SafetyDysfunctional Educational System
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Affordable Housing, Economic Recovery and Election Integrity.
We need to build more housing and less expensive housing in high-opportunity communities. To accomplish that, local governments must reduce regulatory barriers that limit the market’s ability to build small, lower-cost homes on expensive land. Building more housing specifically smaller housing will over time bring down housing cost, or at least keep them from rising as quickly).
The full extent of the fiscal problem facing our state and local government won’t be known for some time and will depend on the course of the virus. Government revenues depend on the overall economy, and actions to stem the spread of the virus have drastically reduced economic activity. By paying only for certain usage, government can potentially lower operating costs and flex capacity as demand requires.
The legitimacy of an election depends in large part on the actual and perceived integrity of the electoral process. If voters and candidates believe that an election is fraudulent or has been poorly administered, they may not accept the outcome. At best, this can breed public dissatisfaction or disinterest. At worst, violence, ineffective governance and long-term instability. With donor support, election managers can take an important step toward avoiding these outcomes by conducting a systematic assessment of likely vulnerabilities in the electoral process and taking appropriate actions to mitigate risks.
