In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Elizabeth is a writer, teacher, and neighbor who believes West Virginia deserves fewer career politicians and more people who care. She is guided by her faith to stand up for her community, especially its most vulnerable members. She believes West Virginians are ready for real investment in our schools, our young people, and our working families.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Public School Success. Our children deserve our investment. West Virginia cannot continue to be at the bottom in reading and math scores and high school graduation rates. We must invest appropriate resources in our public schools now to make sure our children aren't left behind and West Virginia can be a great place to raise a family.Putting Working Families First. West Virginians work hard. The needs of working people should be at the center of our agenda. This includes promoting affordable home construction and childcare access, tax policy that serves the average working person, and protecting workers’ rights to advocate for better pay and working conditions.Restore Community Control Over Data Centers. West Virginia needs new sources of jobs and revenue. Data Centers could be part of that economic growth but only when these projects are done with transparency, community involvement, and proper protections for our local resources. House Bill 2014, passed in 2025, strips counties and towns of all decision-making power over data centers. HB 2014 must be reversed and community partners given a seat at the table. Guardrails must also be put into place to protect our groundwater, utility costs, and local resources.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Supporting working- and middle-class individuals and families in accessing the American Dream. That means accessing good jobs, affordable healthcare, and the means to buy a house and raise a family.
