In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am lifelong Tennessee resident who grew up well below the poverty line. My success is rooted in the knowledge that governmental safety nets give citizens room to breath in their hardest moments.

If elected, I vow to ensure these safety nets are strengthened so that the most vulnerable among us can feel financially and emotionally secure.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Tennessee must expand Medicaid in order to preserve the health of all our citizens and ensure access to hospitals in rural areas.Tennessee must repeal the "School Choice" voucher scheme and put that money back into public schools.Working families in TN have struggled for too long. It's time for common sense measures to improve the lives of our citizens including paid parental leave and universal Pre-K.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I am passionate about policies that strengthen the economic stability of Tennesseeans, including increasing public school funding, repealing the grocery and gas taxes and ensuring access to medical care for all citizens.

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

Gun Sense, Tennesee Advocates for Planned Parenthood
