Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a businessman, educator, and community leader who has spent my career building things that serve people. I founded Mortgage Cadence, a financial software company that made the Inc. 500 four times, one of only 100 companies in history to achieve that distinction. After Accenture acquired it in 2010, I moved to Manatee County and co-founded Inspiration Academy, a private Christian school in Bradenton that earned more accreditation commendations than all but nine schools in its accrediting body's history.
I served as a trustee at New College of Florida, where I helped lead the charge alongside Chris Rufo to make New College the first university in the nation to abolish DEI. I also consulted with a biomedical company and helped transform it into a missional opioid addiction detection tool for doctors.
In 2024 I ran against 20-year incumbent Vern Buchanan in FL-16 and earned 39% of the vote, more than twice any other congressional challenger in Florida that cycle, while being heavily outspent. I built the largest grassroots campaign in Florida Republican history as measured by petition signatures.
I am running for Congress because I believe We the People deserve representatives who answer to voters, not to developers, special interests, or party insiders. I will fight to protect Old Florida, expose corruption, and restore constitutional government.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
1. Old Florida is worth fighting for.
Our land, our water, and our way of life are under assault from unchecked overdevelopment that is consuming wetlands and straining infrastructure, hyperscale AI data centers that would drain our aquifers and power grid for the benefit of Silicon Valley billionaires, and flock cameras that are turning our roads into a surveillance network without a single vote from the people being watched. I led the fight against the largest proposed AI data center on earth in DeSoto County and helped win a two year moratorium protecting 800 acres. I will take that same fight to Washington because what makes Florida worth living in is worth protecting for the next generation2. A man of action, not rhetoric.
I earned 39% against a 20-year incumbent while being heavily outspent, built the largest grassroots campaign in Florida Republican history by petition signatures, and led the charge alongside Chris Rufo to make New College of Florida the first university in the nation to abolish DEI. Every candidate promises to fight for you in Washington. I have been fighting for you right here at home before asking for a single vote. This campaign is a tryout and I intend to earn your trust by what I actually do.3. We the People versus the establishment swamp.
This race is voters versus the network of developers, political consultants, and party insiders who have been buying elections, purging grassroots Republicans, and selling Florida's land, water, and resources to the highest bidder. In 2024 I took on Anthony Pedicini's machine directly, named names publicly, informed voters about the network of developer money funding their candidates, and helped drive Pedicini and his developer-backed slate off the Manatee County Commission. That fight worked because voters deserve the truth and act on it when given the chance. Now Max Goodman has stepped into that same role and I am exposing that network with the same approach.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Protecting Old Florida's land, water, and communities from unchecked overdevelopment, hyperscale AI data centers, and surveillance infrastructure being imposed without voter consent.
Restoring constitutional governance by banning omnibus spending bills and forcing every dollar to justify itself in a public vote.
Unleashing American economic expansion by breaking up Big Tech's government protected monopolies the same way we broke up Ma Bell in 1982. That breakup produced an explosion of innovation, competition, and falling prices. Forcing today's platforms to compete on a level playing field does the same thing, and makes technology serve people again instead of trapping them.
Protecting children from predatory AI.

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I have been a business leader and entrepreneur for most of my life and have decided to take this experience to congress to serve my country and to defend the rights we as Americans hold dear.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
AMERICA FIRST I believe in American exceptionalism. America continues to lead the way for the rest of the world. Yet, our national sovereignty has come under attack. The entrenched establishment of career politicians have exposed our country to uncontrolled illegal immigration and foreign policies contrary to the well-being and prosperity of this nation. We must correct this course and put American priorities first and continue the trail-blazing path of freedom and prosperity.DISMANTLE BUREAUCRATIC CANCER Cancer is when a cell abandons its purpose of serving the body and seeks its own survival. Federal bureaucracies have largely abandoned their purpose of serving “We the People” and have sought their own survival. This cancer is contagious and has grown into the full-blown weaponization of our government against the people. The cure is to starve the cancer via Congress’ power of the purse, to conduct Congressional investigations, and to recapture the legislative authority/power that had been haphazardly delegated to these bureaucracies in the first place. We need courageous members of Congress with principled convictions to restore a constitutionally limited government.AMERICAN VALUES IN EDUCATION By funding students and not systems, Florida has begun the fight to protect children from the indoctrinating clutches of teachers’ unions. With diligence and determination, we can clear a path on a national level to win back our schools. Then, Florida will serve as a blueprint to complete the restoration of traditional education to the rest of the nation.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
America First
Dismantling Bureaucratic Cancer
Stopping Human trafficking
American Values in Education
Energy Independence
Medical Freedom
Do you believe that it's beneficial for representatives to have previous experience in government or politics?
More often than not, previous political experience can be detrimental to the integrity of our politicians. We have seen this time and time again. Politicians who entered office full of promise and zeal have become ideologically captured by the political forces working behind the scene. The mechanisms of this process have been on full display for those with eyes to see, and the American people have become disillusioned with such political machinations. It is evident, both to myself and those who seek the truth, that career politicians are some of the most corrupt and venal people imaginable. There is a desperate need in our government for politicians who are not compromised by their "experience" and for new, fresh candidates to step-up and fill these rolls, not for the perks and prestige of high office, but for the honor and satisfaction of faithfully acting as a true representative of the people.
What do you perceive to be the United States' greatest challenges as a nation over the next decade?
There are many challenges that face this nation today. However, I believe that the woke left's idealogical capture of our public school systems have turned many of them into indoctrination camps that produce weak-minded students lacking important critical thinking skills, but instead subscribing to the most current and popular ideologies of the time. Therefore, I believe it is our duty to our nation and to our children to reverse this Orwellian system and to roll back the tide of political indoctrination in our schools and public institutions. With that in mind, it is imperative that immediate steps be taken in order to fight and win against this new form of tyranny.
What are your thoughts on term limits?
I believe that people should be accountable to their constituents and act in their best interests. Public office should not be considered a lucrative opportunity at career advancement, but rather a public service. With this in mind, I am of the opinion that term limits are a necessity for holding any public office.
Do you believe that compromise is necessary or desirable for policymaking?
We need leaders and representatives with single-minded focus who refuse to compromise their morals and integrity, and who are not bought and paid for by lobbyists and special interest groups. Unfortunately, this has become a rarity in American politics, but we still have the capability to elect those to office who are not compromised and who will keep their election promises, hold their morals firm, and keep the will of the people at the forefront of policy and decision-making.
