In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I'm a small business owner, entrepreneur, and community leader who believes that the best solutions come from listening, collaboration, and not just hard work, but doing the work.
Throughout my career I've built businesses, launched new products, and helped create jobs by bringing people together to solve complex problems. I’ve owned a bar and restaurant, so I know what it's like to struggle with a small business. I was on the launch team of Uber in San Diego, so I know what it's like to launch a major corporate product. I co-founded Skrewball Whiskey, so I know how to work with a determined team of folks to help market a successful product. During the pandemic, I co-founded the American Medical Manufactures Association, and worked with President Biden's PPE Supply Chain Resilience Work Group advocating for American jobs and American Manufacturing.
Outside of my professional career, I’ve dedicated my time to giving back to the community. I serve as the Membership Secretary for the Democratic Party of Milwaukee County and I’m on the Executive Board of the Greendale Chamber of Commerce. I’m a proud father, and raising my daughter has strengthened my commitment to building stronger communities and stronger businesses.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Affordability—Wisconsin should be a place where working families can build a life, not just get by. Right now, too many families are struggling with the rising costs of housing, healthcare, groceries, childcare, and property taxes—you name it. We need to restore fiscal responsibility and focus on practical solutions that lower costs while making smart investments in our communities. When families have more money in their pockets and businesses have the confidence to invest, our local economies grow stronger, our communities thrive, and Wisconsin becomes a place where everyone has the opportunity to succeed.Education—A strong public education system is one of the best investments we can make in Wisconsin's future. Every student deserves access to a high-quality education regardless of their ZIP code, and every educator deserves the resources they need to help students succeed. I want to bring more education funding back from the state and federal government, fully fund special education, and restore teachers' voices in the decisions that affect their profession and their students. Strong schools create stronger communities, a stronger workforce, and a stronger Wisconsin.Responsible Growth—I support responsible economic growth that benefits the people who live here. Wisconsin should welcome businesses that create good-paying jobs and invest in our communities, but growth must come with accountability. That means protecting our drinking water, preserving property values, respecting local communities, and ensuring taxpayers aren't left paying for poorly planned development. No data centers without strict guardrails. No major projects that ignore local infrastructure or fail to create lasting jobs and business opportunities for Wisconsinites. We can grow our economy while protecting the communities that make Wisconsin home.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I'm passionate about making Wisconsin more affordable for working families by raising the minimum wage, eliminating the tipped minimum wage, and giving local governments the flexibility to set higher wages when local costs of living demand it. I'm also passionate about protecting Wisconsin's fish, wildlife, and natural resources so future generations can enjoy the same outdoors that make our state such a special place to live, work, and play.
