Doug Lee is a business owner, community advocate, and candidate for the Michigan House of Representatives, District 80.

Lee is the owner of Jam’nBean Coffee & Tea Company, a locally owned business based in the Grand Rapids area, and has over 40 years of experience in business operations, problem-solving, and organizational management. In addition to his work in the private sector, he is also associated with Taro Systems, Inc., a software company serving the real estate industry nationwide.

Lee became actively involved in local education issues in 2020, regularly attending school board meetings and advocating for increased transparency, parental involvement, and a stronger focus on academic achievement. Over the past several years, he has been a consistent presence at public meetings, engaging with administrators and community members on education policy and outcomes.

His campaign focuses on improving public education, increasing accountability in government spending, and strengthening workforce readiness through a renewed emphasis on core academic subjects and career preparation.
