Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
David Sutman Jr is a working-class Tennessean, and political outsider running for U.S. Senate to bring accountability back to Washington. Raised with the values of hard work, personal responsibility, and community, David has spent his career solving real-world problems, and creating opportunities - not navigating political circles.
Like many Tennesseans, he’s watched costs rise while representation has declined. Families are working harder than ever but falling further behind, while career politicians grow more disconnected from the people they serve. David believes government should be practical, transparent, and focused on results - not party loyalty or political theater.
Running as an independent, David is committed to putting Tennessee first. He believes in listening before leading, restoring trust in public service, and ensuring that everyday Americans - not special interests - have a voice in Washington.
This campaign isn’t about politics as usual. It’s about rebuilding a government that works for the people again.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Put Tennessee First - Not Party Politics
Tennesseans don’t wake up thinking about party lines - they think about paying bills, supporting their families, and building a future. It’s time Washington did the same. David Sutman Jr is running as an independent to break away from partisan gridlock and focus on real solutions that serve the people of Tennessee - not political agendas.Lower Costs, Stronger Families
From groceries to housing, everyday costs are rising faster than wages. David believes the federal government must refocus on policies that ease the burden on working families - promoting economic growth, supporting small businesses, and ensuring people can actually get ahead, not just get by.Accountability You Can Trust
Too many politicians go to Washington and forget who they work for. David is committed to transparency, open communication, and real accountability. That means showing up, listening, and making decisions based on what’s right - not what’s politically convenient.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
Restoring Economic Balance for Working Americans
David is passionate about tackling the rising cost of living by addressing inflation, supply chain inefficiencies, and barriers facing small businesses. He supports practical policies that encourage domestic production, reduce unnecessary regulation, and promote fair competition. His focus is simple: make it easier to build, work, and succeed in America - so families can keep more of what they earn and feel secure about their future.
