In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m David Collenberg, a California farmer, small business owner, and father of six. I’ve spent my life working in agriculture, trucking, and heavy equipment, building businesses from the ground up and dealing with the same challenges everyday Californians face. I’m running for office because Sacramento has lost touch with working people, especially in rural communities. I’m focused on restoring common sense, supporting agriculture, lowering the cost of living, and making government work for the people again
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
California needs to get back to supporting working families, farmers, and small businesses by cutting unnecessary regulations and lowering costs.Water, energy, and land policies must be fixed to protect our food supply and keep California agriculture alive.Government should be accountable to the people—more transparency, less bureaucracy, and real representation for rural and underserved communities.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I’m most passionate about agriculture, water policy, and reducing the cost of living in California. As a farmer, I’ve seen firsthand how overregulation and poor water management are hurting our food supply and driving families and businesses out of the state. I care deeply about restoring balance—protecting our natural resources while making sure farmers and working people can survive and succeed. I’m also focused on public safety, addressing homelessness through accountability and treatment, and cutting red tape so small businesses can grow. California should work for the people who live and work here, not against them.
