In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Dave is a career public servant who spent nearly 23 years as an FBI agent and senior executive. Dave's final role in the FBI was as the head of the Washington D.C. Field Office, where he oversaw major investigations such as the January 6th Capitol attack. However, 10 days after the 2025 presidential inauguration, Dave was forced out of the FBI in a politically motivated purge; he remains committed to public service.

Earlier in his FBI career, Dave served on the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team. In that capacity he responded to critical events such as the Boston Marathon bombing and deployed on multiple occasions alongside U.S. military special mission units. Dave ultimately spent three years as the Commander of the FBI’s Hostage Rescue Team, where he directed high-risk missions around the country, including humanitarian relief efforts during the devastating hurricane season of 2017.

After college Dave joined the U.S. Air Force and served for four years before becoming a police officer and later a detective. Dave joined the FBI shortly after 9/11.

Dave is ready to bring his decades of leadership and integrity to a new arena, fighting to ensure that the government remains accountable to the people it serves, not one man’s political agenda.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

Dave spent his life in public service. He's a veteran, a former police detective, and served as head of the FBI’s Washington Field Office until hewas fired by the Trump administration. He has seen and felt the pain our federal employees have experienced through threats of Schedule F, DOGE, and targeted terminations like his own. Since being forced out of the federal government, he worked to support fellow public servants by ensuring they have the legal representation, security services, and job finding assistance they desperately need. In Congress Dave will make legislation protecting the employment rights of federal employees a priority and ensure continued access to the benefits our veterans have earned. Our democracy depends on accountability, transparency, and the rule of law. We’ve seen unprecedented politicization and misuse of federal institutions. Congress must act decisively to strengthen oversight and ensure that no administration can weaponize government agencies for political purposes. Dave held powerful people accountable throughout his career, from the insurrectionists on January 6th to members of Congress and even presidents. In Congress Dave will continue to demand accountability from our most senior public servants and will leverage my investigative experience and knowledge of the executive branch to do so.The rising cost of living is a crisis affecting families across our country. Using the term "affordability" doesn’t get to the heart of the problem. Too many Americans are experiencing a cost of living emergency. We need an economy that works for everyone. An economy that lowers costs, protects essential services, and prioritizes the financial security of working families. In Congress Dave will support economic policies that protect the services people rely on, such as removing the income cap for Social Security taxes, restoring Medicaid funding, and closing the loopholes in our tax policy to ensure corporations and the wealthy pay their share.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Accountability, defending our democracy, cost of living, affordable and accessible healthcare, improving effective transportation, housing, voting rights, repairing the broken immigration system, securing America's interests abroad, standing up for federal workers and veterans
