I am a housing advocate, rural dad, and I graze cows part time

Making Winona a more affordable place to live and raise a familyWe do this by investing in housing. Specifically, I am committing to fund the building of an apartment building of 100 units of affordable housing in downtown WinonaWe also make Winona more affordable by providing more childcare. I am committing to funding a childcare center in Winona Area Public Schools

Housing, Childcare, Economic Fairness, Personal Liberty, Winona First and Party last

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

Dr. Martin Luther King. Showing us that political courage requires moral and spiritual courage.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Transparency and prioritizing district first

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Represent the best interests of district

What legacy would you like to leave?

Growing the economy and size of Winona

What is the first historical event that happened in your lifetime that you remember? How old were you at the time?

The school shooting at Columbine. I was in middle school.

What was your very first job? How long did you have it?

I helped my Grandpa move buildings. I did this for three summers when I was 13. I hated it at the time, but it formed so much of me.

What is your favorite book? Why?

Ministry for the Future by Kim Stanley Robinson.

What do you perceive to be your state's greatest challenges over the next decade?

Creating enough housing and childcare

What is the first bill you would introduce if elected?

I will include in the bonding bill funds to build an apartment building downtown with 100 units of affordable housing

What legislation would you enact related to election administration in your state?

Limit the amount of money outside Political Action Committees can spend on legislative seats
