In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a 40 year resident of Nashua and I am retired. I am married with two adult children. My engineering career spans several defense and medical companies and multiple products, as mentioned in my Linked-In page. My legislative experience was Alderman in Nashua ward 3. In FY2007 historic achievement, our TOTAL ANNUAL BUDGET was lowered by -3.5% ... never previously done or repeated by other boards. I love New Hampshire's traditional character and unique form of government more than any other state. The state of NH maintains a sustainable light burden on its people and job producers.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Elected officials must swear oath to uphold the Constitution. I will take that oath and obey its limits on government. Guides such as Federalist Papers will inform my views. I expect the same from others. I reject threatened constitutional offenses such as networked mass surveillance, civil asset forfeiture, warrantless entry searches, subsidy to private business, and any comfort to illegal aliens. I advocate state sovereignty and will examine federal grants for any compromise of Bill of Rights. I am disposed against accession to Article 5 Constitution Convention for fear of insufficient safeguards to contain change proposals.I believe my views are well aligned with those of residents of Nashua ward 3. A natural view is parental domain over all aspects of lives of one's children. Government should never require relinquished authority, except where a child's health is immanently threatened. Parents choice of child's education venue in that market is within their domain. Adequacy of education is unequal throughout NH, with shining examples of excellence standing out against backdrop of lower proficiency. A hope is for higher credentialing and recognition of deserving schools and teacher merit. Advanced post-secondary technical degrees may help to locally retain young adult children and supply to local industry.Constitutional property rights are another key concern, particularly to city dwellers. NH legislature has recently usurped what was a light touch on the city's chartered land use ordinances. My view is they went too far in slicing apart the established social contract into which present homeowners had bought. Dozens of bills have chopped away local control of zoning board's authority to contain like-use zones within their respective noise, traffic, diurnal presence, density, and utility service into a rich stew mix. Likewise, planning board authority has now been heavily biased in favor of development with structures inappropriate for location. We owe a debt of consideration to close neighbors in our property rights exercise.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
My interests and concerns are myriad. My career has addressed tough nuts to crack and I believe that is NH's energy affordability and sufficiency statewide. Home heating oil is still a part of ward 3 picture while gas has made inroads. Utility electric has doubled since last year. Both are presently costly and look to be more-so in winter '26. Expanding the market with sources through other states and from Canada should be viable along with responsible development of corporate-owned generators to service their extraordinary needs.
What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?
I have sought no endorsement and received none to my knowledge. I am an unknown quantity to legislators.
