In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Born and raised in the Mid-Ohio Valley, I learned early on the value of community—neighbors helping neighbors, workers standing together, and families doing everything they can to build a better future. Living in my hometown, I have proudly called District 11 home for three decades. After graduating from the public school system, I earned my undergraduate degree while working in the service industry and volunteering throughout the community.

Public service has always been important to me because I believe giving back is one of the strongest ways we can build a better future for West Virginia. I believe in supporting the arts, investing in local organizations, and respecting the right of individuals to make their own medical decisions alongside their healthcare providers. My path has not always been straightforward. Like many West Virginians, I have faced sharp turns and difficult moments along the way.

Having completed my undergraduate degree focused in psychology, I currently work in the mental health field helping families whose children face severe emotional and behavioral challenges access the services they need to remain healthy, safe, and supported. I have worked with families fighting to keep their children safe at home while navigating overwhelming emotional and financial stress. That work has given me a deep appreciation for the resilience of West Virginian families and the importance of making sure no one feels forgotten or left behind.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

I am a Constitutional Democrat.

I believe all are bound to the Constitution and that no person is above the laws and principles therein.

I believe it is important that checks and balances be maintained for the good of the people. It is an obligation that politicians listen to the will of the people and remember that we are civil servants. I believe we must protect individuals' rights in the many different forms they appear. I also believe that the Constitution is a living document that must be amended as the needs of the people change.I want to see a happier, healthier, and more prosperous West Virginia.

Mental health is often a a result of our environment. The families I work with require social services to survive, but still struggle to thrive. I believe we need more in-state resources and funding for social supports.

People struggle with receiving the healthcare they need. Increasing cost of medications, too few medical professionals, and closing rural hospitals are all barriers that impact our health. I want to see more emphasis on healthcare needs.

Prosperity comes when we bring in a wide variety of jobs. I believe we have great land for agriculture and textiles, prime locations for renewable energy sources, and computer science which plays a role in many fields.I believe there is a major mishandling of state funds.

Our tax dollars should be going to support the quality of life for West Virginians, not force us into poverty. Social services such as fire rescue, police, and public education rely on our tax dollars to function. Not only that, but taxes are meant to maintain our roads and provide disaster relief. I believe it is unjust that large businesses and corporations in the state receive tax breaks while everyday West Virginians are required to pick up the slack. We should provide tax breaks to small businesses and make companies that take from our land or make billions in profits while their employees require government assistance pay for the privilege of our labor.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

-Social Welfare: Many West Virginians rely on social supports such as the Supplemental Nutritional Assistance Program (SNAP), Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), and Foster Care.

-Healthcare: Medical services are a staple for society and need support whenever possible. Fear of medical debt can lead to loss of life, and refilling medications shouldn't place anyone in poverty.

-Education: Public education is a necessity factor in raising the next generation both for learning, and a safe-haven for those whose needs aren't met at home.

-Housing: Everyone deserves a roof over their head. Shelter is a basic need that allows people to participate in society.

-Environment: When we take care of the land, it takes care of us.
