In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Daniel Keenan is a dedicated businessman and lifelong resident of Arizona’s 5th Congressional District, deeply rooted in the communities of Gilbert and Queen Creek. Born and raised locally, Daniel graduated from Basha High School in 2005 and immediately entered the workforce. Growing up in a family built on hard work, his parents ran a small cleaning business before becoming successful home builders. Inspired by their example, Daniel learned the values of perseverance, accountability, and self-reliance at an early age.

Without the benefit of a college degree, Daniel experienced firsthand the hardships faced by many blue-collar families, especially following the 2007 housing market crash. Determined to support his growing family, he took on multiple demanding jobs, including warehouse labor and agricultural work, often juggling long hours and double shifts to make ends meet.

In 2014, driven by a strong entrepreneurial spirit, Daniel founded DK Builders, a residential construction company that has successfully built over 100 homes and created hundreds of jobs within the district. His experience overcoming economic challenges has reinforced his commitment to conservative principles of fiscal responsibility, limited government, and strong community values.

Today, Daniel is running for Congress to bring these values and his real-world experience to Washington, DC. He is committed to protecting Arizona’s families, securing the border, defending the Second Amendment, and fighting

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

Border Security and Immigration, Economic Growth, Second Amendment rights without compromise, upholding strong pro-life policies, eliminating woke indoctrination from schools, focusing on academic excellence, and championing the Bill of Rights against government encroachment into our lives.

What are your thoughts on term limits?

I strongly support term limits for members of Congress. Public service should be about representing the people not building a political career that stretches on for decades. When elected officials stay in Washington too long, they become disconnected from the communities they serve, entrenched in special-interest politics, and resistant to the fresh ideas our country urgently needs.

Term limits will help restore accountability, reduce corruption, and ensure that power stays where it belongs: with the American people. I believe Congress functions best when it’s made up of citizen-legislators men and women who bring real-world experience, serve their communities with integrity, and then return home.

I am committed to being part of a new generation of leadership that places service above self-interest. That’s why I support implementing strong, common-sense term limits for both the House and Senate.

What is an accomplishment that you are proud of?

One of the accomplishments I am most proud of is building a strong and loving family with my wife of ten years, Mackenzie, and our three wonderful children Phoenix, Stella, and Leo. Being a husband and father has grounded me, shaped my values, and reminded me every day of what truly matters: faith, family, and a future full of opportunity for the next generation.

I am also proud of the successful residential construction company I have built through hard work, perseverance, and the limitless possibilities of the American Dream. My journey as a small business owner has shown me firsthand how innovation, opportunity, and determination can change lives. It has made me deeply committed to preserving those same opportunities for every family and every entrepreneur across our community.

These experiences; raising a family and building a business have prepared me to fight for policies that strengthen families, support small businesses, and expand the promise of the American Dream for all.

Campaign websiteKeenan's campaign website stated the following:ON THE ISSUESFOCUSED ON SAFETY, PROSPERITY, AND FREEDOM FOR EVERY ARIZONAN. BORDER SECURITY AND IMMIGRATIONAmerica is a nation of laws, and our border must be secure.End birthright citizenship for illegal immigrants so citizenship is not used as an incentive for breaking our laws.Mandate nationwide E‑Verify so every employer confirms work eligibility and the jobs magnet for illegal immigration is shut off.Enforce existing immigration laws, end catch-and-release, and prioritize the deportation of criminal illegal aliens.Give Border Patrol and ICE the tools, manpower, and authority they need to do their jobs safely and effectively.Finish the wall where it is needed and close asylum and parole loopholes that cartels and traffickers exploit.ECONOMIC GROWTH AND LOWER COST OF LIVINGWorking families, not Washington, should keep more of what they earn.Support America‑First trade policies that protect American workers and bring jobs and manufacturing back home.Maintain and expand Trump‑era tax cuts for families, small businesses, and job creators.Cut reckless government spending, reduce regulations, and fight inflation that is crushing family budgets.Restore the full child tax credit so it’s easier to raise a family and build a future in Arizona.Unleash American energy—oil, gas, nuclear, and more—to lower utility bills and reduce dependence on foreign countries.FAITH, FAMILY, AND FREEDOMStrong families and strong communities are the heart of a strong America.Defend the Second Amendment without compromise, opposing bans, registries, and red‑flag laws that violate due process.Protect life and stop taxpayer‑funded abortions, while supporting adoption and resources for moms and babies.Remove woke indoctrination from classrooms and refocus schools on reading, writing, math, science, and civics.Protect parents’ rights in education, including curriculum transparency and real school choice options.Champion the entire Bill of Rights—defending free speech, religious liberty, and privacy from government overreach.NATIONAL SECURITY AND FOREIGN POLICYWashington should put America First—starting with our own border and our own people.End open‑ended U.S. funding for foreign conflicts like Ukraine without clear goals, accountability, or an exit plan.Require strict oversight of any foreign aid and insist that wealthy allies carry their fair share of the burden.Rebuild our military’s morale and strength, focusing on readiness and winning—not social experiments.VETERANS AND THOSE WHO SERVEDOur veterans kept their promise to us. America must keep its promise to them.Reform the VA so veterans get timely, high‑quality care without endless red tape and delays.Expand healthcare choice for veterans so they can see private doctors when the VA can’t meet their needs.Hold VA leadership accountable for failures and protect whistleblowers who expose waste, fraud, and abuse.LAW, ORDER, AND ELECTION INTEGRITYFree, fair elections and safe communities are the foundation of our Republic.Require photo Voter ID nationwide so every legal vote counts—and only legal votes count.Clean up voter rolls, end ballot harvesting, and tighten mail‑in ballot rules so results are secure and trusted.Support law enforcement and oppose soft‑on‑crime policies that turn criminals loose and endanger our communities.Back judges and prosecutors who enforce the law, protect victims, and keep violent offenders off the streets.— Daniel Keenan's campaign website (June 12, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source.
