Daniel Darris-O'Connor is a lifelong Billerica resident currently running to be our next State Representative.

Professionally, Daniel works in the aviation industry, where he is committed to improving safety and customer satisfaction.

Daniel's path to public service began during the pandemic, when he got involved in state level campaigns and served as a student representative on the Billerica School Committee, standing up for public schools and opposing educator layoffs that would have hurt Billerica students. He later ran for the Select Board at a time when politicians were putting politics ahead of people and key town employees were leaving in droves. Daniel has spent his time in office turning that around: helping recruit a new Town Manager, Assistant Town Manager, and Town Legal Counsel, casting the tie breaking vote on major water infrastructure investments, and supporting a budget that fully funds the DPW, Police, and Fire Departments. He has also supported Billerica Public Schools by backing an MSBA application for Billerica's middle schools, and has been a key proponent of smart economic development that eases the tax burden without cutting key local services.

Billerica deserves better. From the rising cost of living to the state's economy, healthcare, and education, residents face real challenges. Daniel believes Billerica deserves a representative who shows up, listens, and gets things done, not just talks about it

Billerica deserves a State Representative who shows up. Too often, our current representation has failed to show up and fight for the resources Billerica residents are already paying for through their taxes. That means missed opportunities for state funding that should be coming back to our community, and residents left footing the bill without getting the services they deserve in return. Daniel will change that. He will be present, engaged, and relentless in fighting for Billerica's fair share of state funding, funding that goes directly toward improving local services and easing the property tax burden on residents. Billerica has paid in. It's time we got what we're owed.Daniel Darris-O'Connor has a track record of turning things around. When he joined the Billerica Select Board, the town was losing key employees and politics was getting in the way of progress.
