Hello! I'm Danica Hartenfels, and I’m running for State Representative because I care deeply about our community. As a small business owner and mom, I understand the real challenges families are facing, and after more than 20 years in corporate America, I know how to balance a budget and represent our district professionally.

I also volunteer with several local organizations and believe in giving back to the community that has given so much to me. My focus is on practical solutions, not partisan politics, with the goal of improving everyday life for families across our district.

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I’m passionate about public policies that strengthen families, protect taxpayers, and keep our communities safe and connected. As someone who spends a great deal of time listening to residents at their doors, at community events, at school meetings, and at local organizations, I’ve seen firsthand the issues people face. I serve on several boards, volunteer with many organizations, and know firsthand how hard it is now.

I also care deeply about transparency and accountability in government because taxpayers deserve to know how decisions are being made and how their money is being spent. Most importantly, I believe public policy should focus on practical solutions that improve everyday life for the people we serve — not politics as usual.
