In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

Im a Registered Nurse, single mother, grandmother, great grandmother and I was a nurse union leader.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

We need to build trust and elevate community by showing transparency of government and corporate collusion and offer real solutions to the real problems of working Americans. We need to be able to negotiate in backroom deals. We need to accept nothing less than Medicare for All. Any other solution. Including the affordable care act, moves us farther away from a true universal healthcare that other well off nations have managed to implementWe need to advance clean energy solutions and quit being captive to gas, oil, and industrial pollution and waste that are literally fueling the extinction crisis. I will create jobs that focus on protecting the Florida we love

What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?

I have always been passionate about the beauty of our earth and the biodiversity of life. We need to do everything we can to protect the land, water, and life on this planet. I believe everyone is just as passionate as I am, but are frustrated by the mountains we must climb. We need to start in our community, promoting real jobs and solutions that give people purpose.

Who do you look up to? Whose example would you like to follow, and why?

President Obama was a great statesman and speaker and spoke to Americans in a way we could understand and relate to.

What characteristics or principles are most important for an elected official?

Listening skills, honesty, grassroots

What do you believe are the core responsibilities for someone elected to this office?

Representing community interests and state interests equally

What legacy would you like to leave?

To be a voice of the people (and mother earth)

What organizations or individuals have endorsed your campaign?

Im endorsed by the Democratic Profressive Caucus and seeking other related endorsements.
