Campaign websiteSkoog's campaign website stated the following:Thriving CommunitiesStrong communities are built on the essentials—a place to live, good schools, care when you need it, and a real shot at a good job. We'll keep the focus where it belongs: on the everyday foundations that let families put down roots and businesses grow.Expand attainable housing so teachers, nurses, and tradespeople can afford to live where they work.Deliver high-quality public schools in every district, not just the wealthiest ones.Improve access to health care across the state.Grow opportunity for jobs and new businesses while tackling affordability and lowering property taxes.Healthy KansansNo Kansan should lose their local hospital—or go without care—because of where they live.Dr. McKenney has spent her career keeping a rural community healthy. That frontline experience shapes a plan to strengthen care everywhere in Kansas.Expand Medicaid to reduce the risk of hospital closures and cover more Kansans.Grow medical training and create incentives for providers to practice in every part of the state.Support biomedical innovation in our mid-size and major cities.Preserve full-service hospitals and care in rural communities.Rural RootsRural Kansas isn't a problem to manage—it's a strength to build on.Every small town has its own assets and shared values. Good policy helps each one play to its strengths.Enact economic development, agri-business, and water policies that work in every region.Stabilize family farms, encourage entrepreneurship, and support sustainable farming.Help communities leverage their unique strengths to guide local investment.Ensure a fair school-funding formula and real support for teachers.Innovating the FutureSolve today's challenges, and Kansas becomes the place where tomorrow's jobs are created.Making honest progress on issues like water and education funding is how we build a business-friendly state that attracts investment and talent.Make real progress on water and education funding.Attract new industry, tech start-ups, and aerospace jobs.Streamline regulation where it makes sense so small businesses can start and grow.Create incentives that reward innovation and reinvestment in Kansas.Voice & VoteEvery Kansan deserves an equal voice and an equal vote—no matter their zip code. The strength of Kansas is its people. We'll set aside the divisive games and focus on the work of governing together.End the divisive political games and govern by building consensus.Modernize elections so they're both secure and accessible.Make sure every Kansan can participate, regardless of where they live.Treat each resident's voice as equal in shaping our shared future.Everyone is WelcomeWhether you live here, work here, or are just passing through—you belong in Kansas. Our communities are built on shared values and a genuine pride in who we are. Diversity and strong immigrant stories are part of that strength.Build community around the values Kansans hold in common.Welcome neighbors regardless of status, faith, or background.Treat every Kansan with dignity, no matter what's in their wallet.Take pride in the diversity that makes our state stronger.— Curt Skoog's campaign website (July 13, 2026)Note: This text is quoted verbatim from the original source.
