In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I’m a lifelong Nevadan, nurse practitioner, small business owner, and Democrat running for Lieutenant Governor to help build a stronger future for every corner of our state. I was born in Reno, raised in Washoe Valley, and moved to Las Vegas to attend nursing school at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where I earned my BSN and later my MSN-FNP.
For more than a decade, I have cared for Nevada families as a pediatric ICU nurse and family nurse practitioner. I currently work in pediatric rheumatology, helping children with complex autoimmune diseases and chronic illnesses. My healthcare experience has shown me the real challenges Nevada families face every day — from access to healthcare and education to housing costs and economic insecurity.
I’m running because Nevada deserves leadership focused on people, not political insiders or corporate interests. My priorities include strengthening Nevada’s economy through tourism and small business development, improving access to healthcare, affordable housing, supporting public education and workforce development, protecting human rights, and increasing transparency and accountability in government.
As Lieutenant Governor, I will work to promote all of Nevada — from Las Vegas and Reno to our rural communities — by supporting local businesses, expanding tourism opportunities, and helping diversify our economy. I believe in practical solutions, bipartisan collaboration when possible, and putting all Nevadans first.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Nevada’s economy should work for everyone. As Lieutenant Governor, I’ll focus on strengthening small businesses, expanding tourism across the entire state, supporting workforce development, and helping diversify Nevada’s economy so families in rural and urban communities alike can succeed. Nevada deserves leadership that invests in local businesses, working families, and long-term economic stability.I’ve spent my career caring for Nevada families during some of the hardest moments of their lives. I understand the challenges Nevadans face with healthcare access, rising costs, mental health, and education. I’m running to bring real-world healthcare experience and compassionate leadership to state government while fighting for stronger public education, affordable housing, and healthier communities.I’m running a people-powered campaign focused on transparency, accountability, and public service. I believe government should listen to Nevadans, work across differences when possible, and put communities first. I’ll promote all of Nevada — including rural communities often left out of statewide conversations — while protecting workers, supporting unions, and creating opportunities for future generations.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am most passionate about healthcare access, public education, affordable housing, economic opportunity, and supporting working families. As a pediatric ICU nurse and family nurse practitioner, I’ve seen firsthand how healthcare shortages, financial stress, and lack of resources impact Nevada families. I’m passionate about strengthening Nevada’s healthcare workforce, improving mental health access, protecting reproductive rights, and ensuring children receive quality care and education regardless of where they live. I also care deeply about growing Nevada’s economy through small business development, tourism, and workforce training so families in both rural and urban communities can build stable, successful futures.
