Background

Cory Liu is a judge of the Texas 250th District Court. His current term ends on December 31, 2026. Liu is not running for re-election to Texas 250th District Court in 2026.

Liu (Republican Party) is running for election for the Chief Justice judge of the Texas Third District Court of Appeals. He is on the ballot in the general election on November 3, 2026. He advanced from the Republican primary on March 3, 2026.

He was appointed to the court on December 31, 2025 by Greg Abbott (R).[1]
