In their own words

Who are you? Tell us about yourself.

I am a Hospice Nurse Aide, caring for patients and supporting families during the worst of times. My wife and I became foster parents and have adopted two children.

Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?

We need to fully implement the Fair School Funding Plan. Our children deserve a well-funded, well administered education system. Teacher benefits must be protected. We need to do all we can to make sure that we are making it attractive to want to be a teacher. Due to chronic underfunding and a culture of the legislature treating Educators poorly, our pipeline of teachers is constricting. The State needs to work harder to improve the health outcomes of its citizens. They can do this in the way that they administer Medicaid and the support that they offer local health departments and their localized health initiatives. The legislature needs to be more transparent. We need to get back to the single subject bill so that quality bipartisan bills are not weighed down with unrelated frivolities and Christmas ornaments. We must stop legislating through the budget.
