In their own words
Who are you? Tell us about yourself.
I am a business owner and community leader based in Santa Monica, California.
I earned a Bachelor of Arts from the USC School of Cinema-Television and began my career in creative development at Walt Disney Studios. In 1998, I became the owner of The GasLite, a longstanding local business that I continue to operate today.
Over more than two decades as a business owner, I have worked directly with residents, workers, local officials, and community organizations while navigating the real-world challenges facing small businesses and local communities. I also hosted weekly town hall meetings that brought together residents, elected officials, and community leaders to discuss issues affecting the community and work toward practical solutions.
I was previously active in Democratic politics and served in leadership roles during a presidential primary campaign. Over time, I became increasingly concerned that partisan politics was getting in the way of solving real problems and producing meaningful results.
Today, I am running for Congress as a No Party Preference candidate focused on accountability, practical leadership, and measurable results for the communities I represent.
Please list below 3 key messages of your campaign. What are the main points you want voters to remember about your goals for your time in office?
Make Life More Affordable:
I believe government should focus on solving real problems in ways that actually improve people’s daily lives. Too many people are working harder while falling further behind as housing costs, small business pressures, and everyday expenses continue to rise. I support practical policies that focus on affordability, economic stability, and measurable results instead of political messaging and short-term thinking.Restore Safe, Clean Communities:
I believe communities deserve to feel safe, functional, and connected again. Residents and business owners are frustrated by rising concerns about homelessness, addiction, crime, and public spaces that have been allowed to deteriorate despite years of spending and failed outcomes. Compassion should lead to results—not just intentions—and public resources should be focused on solutions that actually work.Demand Accountability—and Real Results:
I am running as a No Party Preference candidate because I believe too much of our political system has become focused on division, political theater, and partisan dysfunction instead of accountability and measurable results. Government should be judged by whether it is functioning effectively, using public resources responsibly, and improving people’s lives in visible and meaningful ways.
What areas of public policy are you personally passionate about?
I am passionate about public policies that improve everyday quality of life and help communities function better. Across many issues, people feel increasingly discouraged, disconnected, and despondent because problems continue to grow while trust in institutions declines.
As a longtime small business owner, I have seen how government decisions affect families, workers, and local communities. I believe public policy should focus on practical solutions, accountability, and whether systems are improving people’s daily lives. I want to help restore communities that feel safer, more affordable, more connected, and more vibrant and hopeful about the future.
